SharpNet is the original group for professional knife, scissor, salon shear, clipper blade and tool sharpeners throughout the world. We participate in email discussion of all aspects of the sharpening trade. A Yahoo group limited to sharpening culinary knives is Sharpnet-Knives. Likewise there are subgroups SharpNet-Clippers and SharpNet-Shears. Similar Yahoo groups for amateurs are SharpeningMadeEasy, HowToSharpen, Sharpening and TormekUsers. Beginning sharpeners should join the SharpeningSchool group.

SharpNet began in 1995 on Rootsweb.com and grew to over 200 members. In January 2005 we moved to YahooGroups and have since grown to over 500 members. A free exchange of sharpening information is encouraged. Since sharpeners rarely meet with each other in person, this forum provides a means to seek and offer help to fellow sharpeners.

Posts to this forum are expected to be courteous in manner and respectful of other group members. Profanity, including abbreviations and symbols, are discouraged. Off topic and offensive posts will be deleted. Members who do not follow these guidelines may be moderated or removed.
