HELLO FROM YOUR EDITMASTER
In the beginning, there was a little-known company called NHC Group,
Inc. run by a group of people who liked to imagine and apply their
new ideas to old problems. They created and sold job site services
to companies, associations and trade sites on the Web. They called
their services JobMark.
Over the years, NHC found wonderful clients, and clients found NHC.
With JobMark, NHC helped nurse-midwives, water treatment operators,
young physicists, and graphic artists find their jobs. They
creatively and quietly solved their clients' job site problems.
But always, they asked the question, "How can we get our nifty
virtual products and services out in front of the folks who might
need us?"
A spark of an idea was born one bleak and wintry day when a call
came in to NHC. The friendly, inquisitive voice on the other end was
looking for a partner in a new project - a free online sourcing site
for human resources professionals. The call came from your
EDITMASTER. Would we be interested in developing our own site
dedicated to the HR community?
Much thought, loads of research and many discussions later, the
concept of HR Junction was formed and development began. With great
anticipation and plans for building our own premier employment Web
site, NHC launched the new HR Junction, dedicated to human resources
employment, in April of 2002.

SITES
This search engine goes beyond traditional page ranking methods to
determine authority, in addition to relevancy. To determine the
authority or quality of a site's content, it uses subject-specific
popularity. Subject-specific popularity ranks a site based on the
number of same-subject pages that reference it, not just general
popularity, to determine a site's level of authority.

If you're serious about recruiting and want to gain the most
comprehensive knowledge for tapping the Internet to source and
identify any type of active or passive job seeker, you'll need to
be more than a classroom attendee. You need to participate in a real-
time workshop! You don't need a trainer pointing to a large
screen using a canned Power-Point presentation. You do need an
expert instructor, who is both a current and accomplished recruiter,
to guide you through the vast and endless maze of Internet tools and
techniques! And we don't just give you a manual. How about a
comprehensive recruiter's toolkit that can provide you realistic
strategies to effectively source candidates in a timely and
efficient manner.
