HELLO FROM YOUR EDITMASTER

Everyone enjoying their 80-hour work weeks? It only seems fair when
our industry took a nosedive in 2002-2003, that now when unemployment
is down and the need for good talent is up, the recruiting community
is once again feeling the "good" effects of late hours,
demanding schedules, and the consuming of one's nutrition while
sitting at a desk, staring at a computer screen, and conversing with
applicants via speaker phone.

I can just envision the day when all this subsides and I can take my
vacation and use it to sleep, catch up on world news, and see what a
day with sunshine looks like!

REVIEWS

ResumeGrabber

For those of you who do not have soup-to-nuts applicant tracking
systems, and spend too much time processing resumes, enter the
SOLUTION!!! Imagine a software application that can enter resumes
received via e-mail, Word, or other electronic method into a contact
manager allowing you to more readily manage, track and search for
candidates in the database. By simply highlighting the candidate
contact information in the resume, a new candidate record is created
in your contact management system. The key fields are automatically
populated, as well as the extraction of keywords; the resume is
attached to the contact record and also copied into a notes page for
easy searching. The software is compatible with all major and
emerging online tracking systems, as well as commercial off-the-shelf
packages such as ACT!, Goldmine, Microsoft Outlook and other
databases. The latest version has got the additional functionality of
populating details to a Resume Submission form in an Online Applicant
Tracking Software which is done at a click of a button by
highlighting the contact information in the resume. Download a free
trial version for 10 days or to transfer 50 resumes whichever occurs
earlier. You are provided free telephone support during the trial
period.

Resume infoFinder Platinum Revisited

I had the recent opportunity to demonstrate this product using
snapshots of each of its features. Try it out for a free trial. If
you find that the trial time is not enough to try all of its
features, simply call Ron at 800-547-9117 and tell him that the SA
has asked to give you another week extension.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Not much has changed in search equations. However, I did run across
this string recently and found that it consistently returned resume
results. As you can see from the example, I was using it to expand my
niche focus on the intelligence community. Try it out on any search
engine you want from Alta Vista to Google.

(title:resume OR url:resume) AND ("TS/SCI" AND analyst) AND
NOT (interview OR example OR sample OR job OR career)
