This Is a Group Of People Who Like To Railfan The SLR and Chase These Trains. The SLR is a subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming, which owns railroads in the US, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, and Australia. G&W is headquarted in Rochester, NY. The SLR is part of G&W's Canada Region, which is headquartered in Outremont, QC. The Canada Region is comprised of the SLR, Quebec-Gatineau,and Huron Central.


The SLR Interchanges With PanAm At Danville Jct. MP 27.5 Berlin Sub., With CN At Richmond, Quebec at MP 71.5 Sherbrooke Sub. The SLR Also Interchanges With Montreal,Maine And Atlantic At Sherbrooke, Quebec At MP 46.8 Sherbrooke Sub. The SLR Currently Owns 260 miles Of Track From East Deering (Portland), Maine to Ste.-Rosalie, Quebec. Canadian National (CN) Runs Over the SLR Sherbrooke Sub. From Ste.-Rosalie MP 110.3 Sherbrooke Sub. To Richmond MP 71.5. The Berlin Sub. Runs From East Deering MP 1.74 (End of Track, just north of the out-of-service Back Cove swing bridge) To MP 149.5 In Island Pond, Vermont. The Sherbrooke Sub. Runs From Island Pond,VT MP 0.0 To Ste. -Rosalie, Quebec MP 110.3. Ste.-Rosalie Sits At 35 Miles East Of Montreal At The Junctions Of the SLR Sherbrooke Sub., CN's Drummondville Sub. and CN's St.-Hyacinthe Sub. The St.-Hyacinthe Sub Runs From Ste.-Rosalie to Montreal. The engine Roster Includes SLR GP40-3M's 3803, 3804, 3805 and 3806; SLR RM-1's (slugs) 803, 804, 805 and 806; LLPX GP38-2 2607; SLR GP40-2's 3008, 3202 and 3206; SLR GP40 3004; LLPX GP15-1's 1505, 1507 and 1512; QGRY SW1500 1504; and SLR SW1's 31 and 41.
