Found a way! I installed SC 3.0 on an eMac running MacOS 9.2.something, used
that to convert the project to SC3.0, and then SC4.6 on a MacBook Pro running OS
X 10.5.7 to convert to what it calls SC4.5 format.

with SC 1.5, that communicates with a nuclear power plant full-scope simulator
and acts as the simulator's instructor station.

2.5. I tried to upgrade to PPC earlier, but the Mac programming environment
(for the XFCN/XCMDs) was in a horrible state of flux. It's now stabilized, so
I'm giving it another go.

does nothing. I can run SC 2.5 on an older PowerBook G4 with the Classic
environment, and the project opens there, but not on a new MacBook Pro with the
latest Leopard and SC 4.6.
