Before I answer that I have to ask another question: Does anyone
*know* if SBBC is still existing when the Base Tunnel opens?

About half of the series of the Re 620 are fitted with ETCS and there
is no reason why they shouldn't run in the Gotthard Base Tunnel,
except for the reason mentioned in my question...
