Richard Sylvester manufactured all types of simple farm implements, gas lighting fixtures, gasoline engines, boat engines and a whole lot more. By 1914 he obtained a contract to from Canadian Northern Railway for water tower pumping engines, by 1916 he was building engine powered railway work cars.
