Mahmoud had nine foals in his final crop, foals of '59, including the multiple
SW California 2yo filly Spark Plug, out of Voltage, by Menow. She was the only
SW in the crop, but the non-winning filly Fly Trap (out of Flyweight, by
Firethorn) produced C.V. Whitney's 1967 Garden State S. winner Bugged, by
Nashua. Spark Plug herself produced Louisville H. winner Ski Run, by Herbager.
