Hi you'all, I just got my new registration papers in the mail this morning on
our yearling stud colt, and did not realize the new papers have the colors of a
lot of the horses on it. That's so cool. I did not know that my old mares
mother was a buckskin. Which means Dusty has a whole lot of Palomino/Buckskin
top and bottom and is bred to a Bay with a whole lot of Palomino/Buckskin, top
and bottom. So the baby comming in May? (Palomino/Buckskin) filly? Who knows?
It's such a guessing game. I do like the new forms though. I am going to put
these papers on disk so you all can see them. I did not realize R.J.'s
breeding was so good until I saw it in black and white. He has Another
Masterpiece, top and bottom, Royal Master, Prides Jubilee Star, Go Boy's
Shadow, Pride Of Midnight (also Merry Boy, Mack k, and Delight horses) My
yearlings name is Royal's Golden Jubilee. Am I excited ? You bet!!! Karen

Hi. I am new to the list, just having my first gaited horse a year ago. I
am now in the position of needing a second gaited horse for a couple
years to keep my gelding company until our filly is old enough to be
trained and shipped to us. Am hoping that maybe someone on this list may
be in a situation of wanting to have one less feed bill for a couple
years - I could promise an excellent home and light trail riding ONLY,
about 2-3 hours a couple times a week. We are in the sw corner of
Nebraska, about 3 hours from Denver. I know I am hoping for a lot, but
you never know what other people's situations are until you ask. Maybe
this could be mutually beneficial to the right person. Thanks for any
help or direction.

Hi I'm new here. We have 5 walking horses and an appaloosa mare. The walking
horses we have are 3 mares, a black and white spotted stud colt and a black and
white spotted filly that will be 2 in June. Its supposed to be nice here this
week. I'm going to try and get outside and do some work around the yard and
maybe clean the tack up. We have a bunch to do around here. I also want a pond
put in and it stocked with fish.
Well I'm going to run.

Hi Janice and Karen, I also heard about the list on Spiritwalk. I am not
married, although was, I have 3 children, a boyfriend, 6 horses, 5 walking, 1
racking, 5 dogs, and my 6 year old daughter has a hamster. I also have a
stallion who has not yet bred, but hopefully someday in the future will give
me beautiful colts/filly's to raise.

I'll alert the Spiritwalk listers about your list- and see if some
new folks will join. Don't ditch this list yet, I don't think you've
given it enough time to let others know it's here. I found you, just
because I periodically check onelist for new TW lists.

I haven't checked out Spiritwalk, but I was on another TWH list about 2
years ago and decided to leave the list after a brief period. It seemed to
contain a majority of snobs and people who were flat nasty to me every time
I posted a question. They were mostly "big lick" people and saw nothing
wrong with abusing their animals in order to get the very animated action
those folks like. I didn't approve of their methods, so I was wrong and was
flamed and slammed privately and on the list because of my beliefs. I
didn't own high-dollar TWHs, so mine were worth nothing. I found very few
people on that list who were willing to answer my questions and actually
try to get to know me. I don't take that kind of abuse from anyone, so I
left the list.

I belong to spiritwalk & gaitedhorse lists also- in my opinion,
spiritwalk is much better. Lots of very friendly folks with walkers,
but gaitedhorse has a few good people, but also a good amount of
know-it-all's, and if you happen to disagree with the 'wrong' person,
they "boycot" you, and refuse to answer questions, or reply to
coments. If anything if someone wants to get on a FUN list go to
spiritwalk!

Sound like you put on quite a few miles! I have 2 walkers, my daughter and I
do trail riding, showing, a few gymkhanas, some breed promotion, and parades.
You might have seen our photos in the voice, fall versatility show in Vermont.
The mare that I ride is entered in the versatilty program. It's difficult to
find enough shows up here. We show in the open pleasure classes on the Vermont
curcuit. It's lots of fun, but I wouldn't want to have to judge it, all breeds
together, Morgans, QH, Walkers,Arabs,etc.
Hi. Just trying to figure out how this one-list thing works. I have 2 walkers,
do showing, trail riding, promotion demos, gymkhana, and an occassional
parade.
Yes, go for it with the showing. It's a blast. You should try breeding some
gaited mules. I understand that there is a great demand for them in some parts
of the country. I rode one this summer at a show, I traded horses with my
friend who is 80 years old and still riding at the show! He has a cute mule
that does a little running walk. She's very smooth. My daughter and I do shows,
trail riding, breed promotion, parades, gymkhana, you name it with our two
walkers.
Fun to read about your walkers. I have a mare, 6 yr old palamino and a
gelding, 11 yr old chestnut. We do trail riding, showing, and promotional
demos. Sometimes a parade or gymkhana.
I'm not sure, I'm trying to figure this thing out. It's a new listing. I'm not
sure that I set it up correctly. There's a walking horse list called Spirit
walk. Try it, and let me know what you think.
Hello everyone.Yes, I am from Pa. also.I live between Harrisburg and State
College.I'm centrally located.
I have 3 Walking Horses my horse is a 16 hand black named Sambo..My
daughters is a blue roan gelding name Indigo. He is 15 hands. And my third
one was born and raised here her name is Milly she is a chestnut with
flazen mane and tail. She is 3 years old.
And of course I have a minature horse also.my daughter and I trail ride in
the summer we travel the east coast and ride.
My daughter competes in the distance award program in the TWHBEA,she has
after 4 years of riding 726 hours. She will have a lil' article on her in
the next voice I think, if you get it.Not sure what month they are putting
it in.
We compete in a walking horse club out of greensburg,Pa. for most hours in
a summer, so we have to keep trucking and riding to win.We have won the
honor the last 3 years. So we always have to do better the next year.*LOL*.
well, I'll keep this short.so hope to talk to you all soon.

Hi out there, my name is Donna. I subscribed a couple of wks.
ago, and I thought I did something wrong because I never saw
any posts.
Someone else wrote that they were from western PA. I live near
Pgh.
I only have one horse that I board. She's the first horse I ever
owned, so I'm not really a "horse person", but I do love her.
You probably won't get much input from me, but I will enjoy
reading what everyone has to say. Donna
Hi Kathy- I'm Sandy, and have been here for about a week. Not much
activity, but maybe no-one else is really involved in horses to have
anything to discuss.
E-mail me privately if you want. Sandy

Go ahead and show! Have a blast. I live in western PA (western and Arab
territory). Hubby and I have been into equine rescue for about 6 years now.
We've got 2 POA mares (1 is crippled), leopard Appy gelding, Mustang/Arab
mare, chestnut TWH gelding, 16+hh buckskin TWH gelding, MFT gelding,
TWH/Mustang gelding, and a molly mule. We intend to continue rescuing
equines and would like to get into breeding mules and raising them for
search and rescue work. My 15-year old daughter and I are going to start
showing saddleseat on our TWHs and the MFT. Some around here show
saddleseat on Arabs and Morgans and such, but no one shows on gaited
animals, so we'll stick out. It'll be a blast!

Hi Kathy- I joined recently, and have not seen much activity either.
But- I'll introduce myself- My name is Sandy Almo, and I have 5 Tenn.
Walkers. They are Fancy, 19 yr. old white with sorrel roan spots,
Blaze, 8 yr. old gelding, almost a dun color, Star, 5 yr. old Bay due
to foal a spotted baby in June, Sparky,(one of Fancy's colts), he's a
4 yr. old blood bay with lots of white-not spots,4 stockings&large
blaze. And lastly, Dazzle (Fancy's last filly-only filly she's ever
had), she is 1-1/2 yrs. Tri Color tobiano. They are all Reg. Walkers,
and Dazzle is Spotted Saddle Horse Reg. also. We use them for strictly
trail riding, cause I'm too sissy to show in the local fun shows
around here. I guess thats about it- oh! i live in Central almost east
Missouri.
