Hello!

We've been very busy getting ready for the Organic Trade Association
Conference and Trade Show. We've gone every year and this is the third.
It's in Austin, Texas from May 14-17, 2003.

Tikvah doesn't have a booth this year; we decided to put the time and money
into creating our soap kitchen and getting production going. But maybe

I'll be helping Connie Barker out at the Environmental Health Network
booth. If you'll be attending the conference, I will be in a wheelchair,

We've also been busy doing our application to be certified organic. We now
have New Applicant Status with California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).
If all goes well, every product we make, plus all of our gardens, will be
certified organic. In the meantime, we are allowed to call our products
"organic" because we sell less than $5000 per year. We hope that will
change too.

I will be gone from May 12-18 but you can still leave messages and place
orders. Felicia will be available for emergencies; it's probably easiest
to send me email and I'll contact her. Or leave a message on my answering
machine and my partner Mikel will get it.

We've got plenty of castile and calendula soap and we just got a new
shipment of half-face respirator masks in, which are outgassing in baking
soda as we speak. We also have lots of replacement filters for the
half-face masks, carbon masks, soapmaker masks, and a few other products as
well.

We will be restarting production when I return from Texas. Just have to
order a few ingredients and we'll be making soap again! The priority will
be lavender oatmeal bar soap, since we're completely out of that. With
luck that will be ready to order in June.
