Transit-Vancouver is an email group devoted to the discussion of Public Transportation issues in the Greater Vancouver Regional District in British Columbia, Canada. The goal of the group is to develop increased understanding and to promote the sharing of knowledge surrounding Public Transit Issues in the Lower Mainland.

Topics for discussion include all activities of the current Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority and its predecessors. Most discussion pertains to the various modes of Public Transit (Conventional Bus, Community Bus, SeaBus, SkyTrain, West Coast Express) including information about Equipment, Policies, Procedures, as well as the sharing of stories and photos. Historic recollections from BC Hydro and BC Electric days are also welcome.

All who are interested in Public Transit are welcome to join and participate, however specific complaints regarding TransLink service should be directed to TransLink directly. Those who have interests in Public Transportation, Urban Planning, Vancouver Civic and Transit History and who refer to themselves as Bus, Rail or Traction Fans will find a welcoming group here.

New members will be placed under "Moderated" status for a short period of time in order ensure there is no intent to distribute "spam". All members must adhere to a strict code of respect for others and maintain decorum on the list.
