Hi Barry,
As you can see the Predictor's line leads the main line because the
momentum(or double momentum) is added to the main line. Also it's the
main reason of overshooting. You can change the Predictor's amplitude
by means of PredictMult value(0...1).
How to use this indicator:
-Try to apply Signal line to the Predictor (SignalMode=1) and you'll
receive leading signal for turning points.
-Try to compare PolyFitPredictor with PredictMode=1 and PredictMode=2.
With the last you receive earlier signal.
More info about this technique you can find here
http://www.mesasoftware.com/Seminars/PREDICT.ppt
Important: I've uploaded fixed version of PolyFitPredictor (v1.1).
Best Regards,
Igor

Thanks for your new
PolyFitPredictor. I have looked at it on a chart and I see that it has a
yellow line, a green line and a dashed red line which look like 3 MA’s.
I also see that the yellow line can lead
the closing price of the current bar – if price is going up, the
yellow line will eventually be above the close of the current bar, unlike MA’s.
This means that late in a trend it points towards future price, but at tops and
bottoms it overshoots.
I’m not sure how I would use it - have
you given thought to trading rules for it?

Predictive Tool.
Hi,
I think each trader dreams about some predictive indicator, besides it
should be smoothed and go before price(or main line).
So I've decided to develop something which could meet these
requirements.
Please try to use my new tool - PolyFitPredictor.
This indicator has Predictor line (yellow by default) with following
formula:
- for 1st Order(PredictMode=1):
Predictor = Poly + Mult*(Poly - Poly[1])
- for 2nd Order(PredictMode=2):
the same formula but for Predictor instead Poly,
where Mult(PredictMult) - Amplitude Multiplier(0...1)
Also in the indicator you can find Signal(Trigger) line which can be
applied to Poly (SignalMode=0) or Predictor(SignalMode=1).
To Agustin:
Sorry I have not any experience with Fisher_Yur4ik_v2 and Waddah Attar
Explosion, but I know 1st is wrong coded indicator, 2nd is combination
of MACD and Standard Deviation with some controversial points.
CCI is one of the most popular indicators and I know that Strategic
Swiss Trading System by Chuck Le Beau uses CCI(20) with triggers at
170/-170 as main signal without any other filters
(http://www.traderclub.com/systems_strategic.htm).
Jeremy,
Updated version of TrendRSI you can find in www.tradecurrency.ca folder.

Hi, Igor,
Have you posted the TrendRSI v1 indicator els that is shown in a couple
of jpg charts in the Netpicks folder on this site, please ? I can't
find it, but guess it must be right under my nose !

As per usual, you do magnificent work and it is very much appreciated
Igor. I will be sure to examine the performance of predictive tool
and see whether it can augment my trading even further.
Regarding Igor's comments on CCI, I must concur. Whilst it is not my
choice of indicator I know some whom have used it for a long while in
their trading career with great success. Like any Oscillator type
interpretive tool though, you must be aware it is occasionally prone
to divergence and can stay overbought/sold if price is pushed by
strong momentum.
The traders I know use the CCI across various TF's and play the +200,
100, 0, -100, -200 reversal/crosses for triggers with a MA setting of
200.
Give it a shot people.
When you have a moment Igor, reply to my several emails which I have
sent to your yahoo address please. I realize you have been busy.
Kind regards.

Dear Members
I am requesting in behalf of Igor (and common sense - which there
isn't a lot of) that Members of the TrendLab forum DO NOT POST IGORS
INDICATORS AT PUBLIC FORUMS.
I am unhappy to state that one of the members here (whom I won't
name) has already posted one of the new Polynomial indicators at
TSD. I know this is not always carried out with malicious intent and
perhaps they wanted technical help but posting at public forums is
NOT the way to do it. THINK before you act.
1) Igor has worked hundreds of hours on many of each of these
indicators, some which have cutting edge calculus math and are
similar to tools sold for 2 - 3K in TradeStation format. It is an
insult to then see these stolen from public forums, renamed and then
hocked on Ebay for $29.95.
Igor is one of the only kind people that posts mq4 code and I'm sure
none of you wish this to change. Without code, you cannot implement
the inner workings into your EA design, so here again, THINK BEFORE
DOING SOMETHING DAFT.
If Igor want's a certain indicator released to other forum (as done
in past (to PAID section of TSD) only he can issue it.
2) If you feel that you need help with the indicator logic or
insertion into EA, then by all means approach Igor here since he is
the best person to ask. Additionally there are other smart
programmers available that might assist.
I personally do not know a great deal about programming and yet treat
Igors indicators more protectively than if I had created them
myself. Nothing in life is free so when I require good programming,
I PAY for professional services and never pass across intellectual
property without signed NDA first.
Most of the free programmers at public forums are either 1)Hacks or
2)Offering services to see if you have a system/tools worthy of
stealing.
In the end you only get what you pay for. In my experience (and I
have gone through 4 programmers across the globe)it is best to source
a local 'non trader' reputable C++ programmer and have them
familiarize themselves with MT4. These are professional folk that
deal with multiple systems all the time and although it might take a
short while for them to adapt to the MT4 station, you will be happy
you went with a IT pro rather than 'faceless entity' hiding on a
chatroom.
If you have any doubts about indicators, PLEASE ask Igor first.
Many thanks
Brian
MANY, MANY thanks for your tireless work with regards Indicators of all sorts! They are truly one of a kind.
Your work does not go unappreciated.
Kind regards
Brian

Hi Igor.
The AbsoluteStrength_v2 looks better, more easy to read.
Let me know more about the filters, may be you can give me more
orientation to use it or to understand it. As I understand the
filters can be any indicator: filters to measure the velocity,
filters to measure the acceleration, filters to measure the distance
of the current price versus the some kind of average, etcetera. But
when you mentioned "so-called Filters" you make me think if you
mention the word Filter only to mention some kind of indicators. I
will appreciate that you clarify this point, because for me Filters
are all the indicators or techniques that serve us to make a better
decision when we see a signal.
By the way, I would like to know how do you measure the potency of
the movements, I call potency to the decent movements of the price.
May be that you understand it movements like an impulsive movement.
You must know the Waddah Attar Explosion indicator, that is used to
choose decent movements. Instead this indicator I use the traditional
CCI to measure the potency of the movement, because I observe that
the values of CCI superiors of 100 or below to -100 are very similar
to the readings of Waddah Attar Explosion. Also, I use the Fisher
Yut4ik_v2 indicator to help me in the identification of good
movements, but this indicator repaint itself, then, it is a little
dificult to read. Then, I would like to know which are the indicators
that you use to choose a decent movement of price (to measure the
posible potency of the movement that it is coming)?
Thanks a lot for your patience.

Hi Agustin,
More info about Efficiency's Levels you can find here:
http://www.bigtrends.com/document.jsp?documentid=899
But I don't use them in my systems.
TrendFishEfficiency uses Fisher Transform from Ehlers works instead of
additional smoothing by MA. It gives sharper turning points and maybe
a little earlier.
From my previous post you should understand that majority of so-called
Filters is based on measuremant of price inertia. Concept of inertia
is associated with Velocity's value. So Velocity is the mother of
majority dynamic filters. But the main problem is how to measure this
value. It can be simply difference between 2 MAs (ex. AO (B.Williams),
MACD, OsMA etc.) or multiple(2...4) smoothings of instantaneous
velocity (difference between nearest prices or MAs(so-called slope))
and so on. Yesterday I've added Polynomial Velocity(PolyFitVelocity)
to our toolbox. This indicator gives good performance without
additional smoothing. I think it can serve like specimen for other
velocity indicators because of strong theoretical base.
About AbsoluteStrength:
Maybe you know decomposition of price changes(for N bars) on
components (Bull and Bear) is used in AbsoluteStrength indicator like
in RSI. Moreover I've implemented in this indicator other 2 methods
for Stochastic and ADX(DMI). Really you can find something very
similar with other velocity indicators. But I think you can read
market conditions more precisely with AS.
I've uploaded 2 new versions of AbsoluteStrength:
-v2 : with additional smoothing and turning points instead of signal
line.
-v3 : with additional smoothing and signal line.
Any turning points or crosses with signal line give us good reasons
for opening or protection(closing) positions.
Please enjoy new indicators! :)

Igor

Hi Igor.
The levels +30 and -30 of TrendEfficiency delimit the overbought and
oversold areas? Where can we read some about the use of this
indicator?
As I understand the difference between TrendEfficiency and
TrendFishEfficency is that TrendFishEffiicency is normalized with the
procedure of Ehlers (Gaussian PDF). Am I right? If my supposition is
true, could you translate the levels +30 and -30 from TrendEfficiency
to TrendFishEfficency range of values? I would prefer to use the
Fisher option.
And, thanks for your great effort with this excellent indicators.
Thanks.

Agustin,
I wish to answer with allegory on your seemingly simple question:
For safe driving(trading) the car(on the market) you should see road with the central line(some kind of MAs) and borders(high and low pivots), should have a speedometer(some kind of Velocity(or Momentum) indicator) and should hear the engine (or have a tachometer)(some kind of Acceleration indicator).
I've added some new tools into Efficiency and Momentum indicators folders. TrendEfficiency and NonLagVelocity are used in my contest EA.
Also I wish to inform you that I've finished some Polynomial tools(looks very interesting). So you can find them in the correspondent folder:
-PolyFitMA_v1 (polynomial MA with fitting and moving(actual) modes) -PolyFitBands (similar to one of the most expensive Jan Arps tool(so-called Arps-Hurst Bands)) -PolyFitVelocity and PolyFitAcceleration (1st and 2nd derivatives of polynom)
-PolyFitDerivative (excellent tool without any analogs: you can calculate any derivative(Order:0-MA,1-Velocity,2-Acceleration) of polynom)
Also I didn't forget about NetPicks tools, because I think we can create something better with our new tools.

Hi Igor.
I understand. Then, each trader must choose its own indicators that
permit us to know what the market is doing. And it indicators should
help us to understand the following concepts:
- Average
- High and Low
- Velocity
- Acceleration
And, I infer from you explanation that you don't have best
indicators, may be you have prefer indicators for your job and invite
us to choose our best indicators from the files.

The new tools you mentioned here sounds very interesting.

Hi Barry,
During operation of MultiPositionExpert you should see always your

Hi Igor,
I had 2 manual trades open tonight in one account and I wanted to leave
the computer. I put your MultiPositionExpert v1.15 on one of the
charts, but it didn't close the trades when my profit target for the 2
trades combined was reached.
I'm not sure why it didn't work - v1.12 has worked for me before with
trades placed by EA's. Does it only work with trades placed by EA's?
Thanks,

Hi Igorad.
First, I want to tell you thanks, because the thread you suggested me
(message #300) (thread of walterw) is a great thread.
Second. It can be that an idiot question, but really I believe that
there are no idiot questions, for that reason prefer to do it:
Into the indicators that you are development, what are you consider
the best indicators that act like a filters?
I like the Absolute Strength, but I consider that the AbSt is very
similar to Sthochastic indicator. I probe it. Obviously, we can
obtain from AbSt different views in comparison of the stochastic.
You mentioned that you were been looking for the best one of the
indicators than served as filter, at this moment according to your
experience you perhaps have an opinion of it that you could share.
I know you are a very busy person. Don't worry if you need some time
to answer this thread.
Thanks again.
Agustín

Hi Igorad.
I was testing the Variable MA's rainbow and I have two questions:
The way to trade on the use of the rainbow is similar to the Rainbow
of Linuxtroll?
Rainbow of Linuxtroll:
http://www.kolachitrader.net/phpBB2/...er=asc&start=0http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=38436
If it is different, do you know a thread about the use of it?
I will appreciate your response.
Thanks.

I can rec with highest regard FXDD. They are a direct subsidiary of Tradition (3rd largest finance corp in world).
FXDD have impeccable customer service, seamless high volume trade execution which bypasses the broker on one of the industries largest servers. Low spreads, true interbank pricing and this is all shoved through high speed even at news release due to the fact they have many liquidity providers.
I have been with other brokers and they all stank.
I do not know if it is correct that I ask about brokers. if Igor does not have problem with this thread, then, I want to ask information about the following brokers:
Oanda CMS ACM Forex.com (Gain Capital)
Do you know something about them? If yes, what are your opinion about them?
I have a small account with CMS, but I would like to change it to Forex.com or Oanda. At this time I have problems to conect with my account (second time in 1 month), without considering the big spreads that they offer. This is the reason about my question.
Or, which one of the brokers (others) are the best for
you?
Hi guys.
I do not know if it is correct that I ask about brokers. if Igor does
not have problem with this thread, then, I want to ask information
about the following brokers:
Oanda
CMS
ACM
Forex.com (Gain Capital)
Do you know something about them?
If yes, what are your opinion about them?
I have a small account with CMS, but I would like to change it to
Forex.com or Oanda. At this time I have problems to conect with my
account (second time in 1 month), without considering the big spreads
that they offer. This is the reason about my question.
Or, which one of the brokers (others) are the best for you?
Thanks.
Agustín
I recognized them as LWMA or similar but was wondering whether TS had thrown in some special spice into equation.
I usually try to avoid most moving avs these days due to their multiple draw downs and the fact I am looking for consistent stable triggers for EA's
keep the input coming guys

If you are interested the trend indicator you can add yourself by putting two LWMA channels on the chart 21 and 34 periods. Each channel made up of the high and low of each period. When the lines cross look to trade the next candle closing above or below the channel. Simple system but always with the trend. On the 5 min they go for approx 20 point target and 20 point stop, or stop below the channel.
As always look at S&R points.

Once you have a signal of a cross up you place the idicator on the next bar and read of the trade eg on the one shown the trade is a cross long so entry would be at 13273, target 13293, Stop 13253.
As it did not get high enough this example would not be a trade.

Gordon, As I see NetPicks System consists of 3 indicators: -NP_Trend (2 Channel with Signal
Points) -NP_OS/OB (looks like similar to DPO or difference between Prie and MA(45) -NP_Calculator(complex indicator)
I've created new thread "NetPicks Tools", where you can find your screenshots and where I'll post indicators. Can you give me some screenshots for GBPUSD M5,for example?
