Subject: Continuous Improvement and Certification Survey - 16 Sept -
Jeff Ulmer
Dear SME Chapter Chair.
Please
forward this email to your chapter membership.
I earnestly
seek their participation in my online survey. A survey link is currently
available in the SME.ORG member-only homepage, under the heading “Your
Input is Needed” (Access: Log in, click “Members” at the
top of the page, scroll down to “Your Input is Needed”). The
survey was approved and published on the homepage through the Certification
Division of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
The survey
has been developed and approved by the human subject testing boards of both the
University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg) and Indiana State University
(Terre Haute). The survey information I am posting in our forums include
the following:
Survey News Flash!
Please help identify the most important continuous
improvement practices and certifications in relation to quality
costs in United States manufacturing companies today by taking the survey
located at:
http://www.ucmo.edu/surveys/?formID=1969
This brief survey
is part of a dissertation effort by a fellow SME member who will share
accumulated data with SME leadership to help better serve our membership.
The survey is confidential and does not require you to type in your name,
email address, or your company name. The survey will be available from
now to October 11, 2007.
The survey supports a
dissertation titled: "A Study of ASQ and SME Members on the Effects of
Continuous Improvement Practices and Certifications on Quality Cost for
Small-to-Midsized United States Manufacturing Companies."
Please take the survey to help SME identify what is
important to its membership.
Thank you!
