Welcome to the Virginian Railway (VGN) Enthusiasts Group.

Built by mining engineer William Nelson Page and financier Henry Huttleston Rogers to the highest standards and completed in 1909, the VGN operated big & innovative steam, diesel & electric motive power. Now part of Norfolk Southern, the VGN continues to interest railfans, historians, authors, photographers, and modelers worldwide, as well as railroaders and community groups along its path from the mountains of southern West Virginia to port at Sewell's Point on Hampton Roads near Norfolk.

We are one of Yahoo's largest and more vibrant Railway Enthusiasts Groups. Whatever your age and interest, you'll find this an enjoyable and wholesome place to share with others and learn more. We want to stay on-topic, and family-rated. Messages of new members require pre-approval.
