We run many railroad related projects are dedicated the creation of the NJ State Transportation Museum. We run train trips, motor car meets and other railroad projects as a way of meeting that goal. We own operate 6 motor cars, including a one of a kind Lehigh New England Sheffield 40B and lease and maintain the NYS&W Hawthorne NJ station. We have found that when a bunch of good people get together for a common cause they can do anything. Our history proves that!

We use this group as a member communications tool. Membership in the VRA is only $20 plus we ask that you stay active to keep your membership up. Work committees: Hawthorne station, Motorcars and Trips, Joseph K. Weber Memorial Fund, Easter Santa trains, The Digest, Website/Blog, United Railroad Historical Society of NJ Membership. Many of of these don't require you to be trackside (or at the station) for most, some or all of the tasks!
