KENOSHA ON WHEELS

The Kenosha Streetcar
Society hosts "Kenosha
On Wheels" at 7 p.m.
May 25 at Kenosha's
landmark 1926 Reuther
Central Auditorium,
Sheridan Road at 58th
Street. Among the three
main presenters,
Racine's Keith
Kohlmann, a Chicago &
North Western Railway
historian, will offer
his program on local
C&NW history over the
past century and a
half. Joe Bisciglia,
producer of 1973's
award-winning "The
Electrifying North
Shore Line", will
present his latest
film "The K-D Line",
illustrating the 1888
Kenosha-Rockford
Railroad that still
operates on its
northern and southern
segments; and Bill
Becwar will present his
concise history of
Kenosha's streetcars,
buses and trackless
trolleys since 1903.
The film and slide show
details 150 years of
Kenosha transit
history.
Admission is free
though freewill
offerings will be
accepted to help
restore #401 a 1951 GMC
City Transit Bus. Doors
open at 6 p.m.
