A group of Local Yarn Store owners interested in co-operative advertising. Local Yarn Store = shop that is independently owned i.e. not a chain like Michael’s, Joann’s, or Walmart. Purpose - Advertising directed to consumers in order to brand the LYS (Local Yarn Shop) as “the place to go” for Education, Information, exciting New Products and wonderful Old Favorites. Establishing the position of the LYS - what makes it unique and different from other shopping alternatives like the Internet or Big Box or Hobby stores.

Membership is open to Brick and Mortar yarn stores whose primary focus is direct sales to the consumer (vs. internet or mail-order sales).

In order for group members to speak freely, membership *may* be resticted in areas with multiple yarn stores. However - ALL yarn stores are welcome to be listed on our website.

Flaming - in public or private - will not be tolerated.
