Required:
Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger version 8.4 or higher
1-2 years experience as PeopleSoft GL Implementation Functional Team Member
Degree in Accounting or a CPA
Role:
An intermediate level Business Analyst is needed to assist in the upgrade of PeopleSoft General Ledger v 8.4 to v.8.9.
The role will include
1) translating business requirements to functional/technical specs,
2) analyzing 8.8/8.9 functional and technical impacts,
3) GL configuration, and
4)testing of business processes, customizations, and interfaces.
Project:
This initiative produces a more controlled general ledger with increased audit-ability and automated controls over system security, configuration, and journal processing necessary to meet SOX and audit requirements. Additionally this initiative provides for continued assessment and redesign of General Ledger chart of account requirements. The redesigned chart will be capable of capturing aggregated data consistent with changes in the upstream accounting engines (e.g. Eagle, Summit) and the downstream financial data warehouse, resulting in more timely financial reporting and analysis capability. Next this initiative provides enhanced financial reporting and analysis capabilities by enhancing financial reporting & exception reporting capabilities. Finally this initiative produces a better controlled, more efficient and streamlined process for managing the quarterly discovery phase work-stream that is critical to quarterly financial statement package submission.
