ACE Security Reminders/Updates:
**********************************************************************
SAFETY DRILLS:
ACE continually works with the Office of Homeland Security to obtain
funding for security projects and staff training. Some of the
training includes emergency drills. ACE is hosting a drill in October
and participating in a statewide drill this November. The October
drill will include several Alameda County agencies. These exercises
test employees and response plans. Based on the results,
modifications are made to enhance the effectiveness of plans and staff
response. Updates will be provided at a later date.
SECURITY UPDATE:
A representative from the Transportation Security Administration
visited with staff on July 26th, 2007 to go over paperwork requesting
funds for security enhancements. While visiting, the TSA
representative had an opportunity to stop at the Livermore station
prior to meeting at the Stockton station. Several topics were
discussed including the need for new/upgraded security cameras. ACE’s
grant application - as well as other available resources - for
security enhancements were also covered. More details will follow.
As a reminder, please do not leave vehicles in ACE parking lots for
more that 48 hours. If you need to park more than 48 hours, notify
ACE with a description of the vehicle.
As always, if you see something, say something. Report all unattended
bags and/or suspicious behavior or persons to the train crew or
station agent.
Thanks for your Cooperation!
I welcome your Questions, Comments, Complaints, and Suggestions,

Important Update for Wheels Shuttle 54 to and from Bart
**********************************************************************
Effective 07/12/07, BART will be leaving the Pleasanton BART Station
about 2 minutes earlier than posted. The trains coming back at night
will be running 5-7 minutes late.
This is due to the fact that they will be running on single track from
Pleasanton to the new BART Station just past Pleasanton. We will do
everything possible to insure that everyone makes their connections.
According to BART, these new times will be on the new BART schedules
in January. This will be in effect until late 2009 until the new
station is complete.
