In the coming weeks, ACE administration will offer extensive
information on how to stay safe and secure as an ACE passenger. Not
only will we alert you to risks in such communication pieces as this
ACE Insider and the Keeping Track newsletter, but we will also debut a
new section of the ACE website dedicated solely to safety and security
in and around the train and the ACE stations. Look for it soon; more
to come...

In the meantime, let's work together to avoid threats to the vehicles
in ACE parking lots - make sure your car doors and windows are secure.

ACE Train to the Scottish Games
**********************************************************************
You don't have to be Scottish for family fun and entertainment
at the Scottish Gathering and Games! Ride ACE to the 142nd Scottish
Highland Gathering and Games - the largest in North America - at the
Alameda County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 1.

ACE train tickets are $10 per person round-trip between Stockton,
Lathrop/Manteca, or Tracy, and Pleasanton. Tickets for the Scottish
Games may be purchased at the Alameda Fairgrounds gate, across the
street from the ACE train platform.

Track the Bay Area’s rail future at a public meeting on the Draft
Regional Rail Plan
**********************************************************************
After 18 months of analysis and stakeholder involvement, we are
unveiling a blueprint for expanding the region’s network of rail
lines. The Draft Regional Rail Plan will identify potential rail
passenger and rail freight improvements for the near-, intermediate-,
and long-term.

Come to one of a series public meetings (listed below) where you can:


* See and comment on what’s proposed to move people and freight
throughout the region in the coming 50 years

* Learn how the regional rail network would be enhanced with proposed
California high-speed rail investments (and view alternatives for
bringing high-speed rail into the Bay Area)

Meeting Schedule:
Each public workshop features two sessions. Session 1 is from 3 pm to
5 pm, while Session 2 is from 6 pm to 8 pm. The meeting format and
content for both sessions are the same. The only difference is that
one session is held during the day and the other in the evening.

Session 1: 3 pm to 5 pm
3:00-3:30 pm: Open House
3:30-5:00 pm: Presentation & Discussion

Session 2: 6 pm to 8 pm
6:00-6:30 pm: Open House
6:30-8:00 pm: Presentation & Discussion

Chat with the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commissioners Onboard the
Train!
**********************************************************************
ACE train passengers will have the opportunity to share with members
of the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission Board of Directors on
August 24, 2007. Several board members will be onboard the ACE train
for an exciting chance to share their visions for the future and to
solicit your feedback. Come - visit with your ACE governning board,
and share in this opportunity to discuss your commute! The board
members will be available to chat with you about such topics as
on-time performance, acquiring the ACE corridor, COMeT, etc.

WHEN: Friday, August 24

CAR: Bike Car, Bottom Level
* Though you may join in on the conversation at any point along the
line, discussion sessions will primarily begin after the Great America
stop and the Vasco Road stop.

Important Update for Wheels Shuttle 54 to and from Bart
**********************************************************************
Effective 07/12/07, BART will be leaving the Pleasanton BART Station
about 2 minutes earlier than posted. The trains coming back at night
will be running 5-7 minutes late.

This is due to the fact that they will be running on single track from
Pleasanton to the new BART Station just past Pleasanton. We will do
everything possible to insure that everyone makes their connections.
According to BART, these new times will be on the new BART schedules
in January. This will be in effect until late 2009 until the new
station is complete.

New Tracy ACE Station Vendor Coming Soon
**********************************************************************
Please join ACE administration as we welcome the new ticket vendor to
the Tracy station. The new vendor will begin service in the beginning
of September, with coffee service to follow shortly thereafter.
