*_Passengers Needed for ACE Training:_*

On November 12, 2011, the Altamont Commuter Express will hold a simulation
exercise at the Sharpe Depot in French Camp, to better prepare the agency for
future potential disasters. We’re seeking 30 passengers to volunteer as role
players to assist ACE with this exercise. As a role player for the Radiological
Response Exercise, you will add to the realism of the mock scenario that has
been developed for ACE personnel and first responders who are participating in
the training. As an actor, you will be given a victim card that will provide the
age, symptoms, and injuries that you will be asked to “perform” for the
duration of the exercise.

Exercise staff will be available at all times to ensure your safety and answer
any questions you may have during your participation. Lunch and a goodie bag
will be provided as well! Please RSVP by November 7th 2011.

This is a no-fault learning environment for participants, and will be used as a
tool to help staff and first responders react if there was a real life
situation. You will receive a full briefing and scenario specifics, including
costume makeup to simulate injuries. The exercise will last from 7:00am –

*_2011 Passenger Satisfaction Survey:_*

Be on the lookout for our 2011 Passenger Satisfaction Survey, available mid
November. This annual survey helps our agency collect data on our services,
passenger praises and concerns, and insight on how ACE can grow in the future.
The survey will be available online for a limited amount of time.

*_Upcoming Holiday Train Schedule:_*

The holiday season is approaching quickly! Please take a look at our modified
schedule with the upcoming holidays.

November 24th and 25th 2011, December 26th 2011, and January 2nd, 2012 the ACE
headquarters will be closed and there will be no train service.

December 23rd and December 30th ACE will have a modified train schedule:

 ACE Trains 1 and 3 only in the AM.

ACE Trains 4 and 6 only in the PM.

*_Looking Ahead to 2012:_*

We are working on putting together the calendar of ACE operating days for the
2012 calendar years and we need some help in determining whether or not we will
have any riders on the days before Christmas and New Years.  Christmas in 2012
falls on a Tuesday and New Years Day a week later also falls on a Tuesday; that
means Christmas Eve and New Years Eve are both on Monday's. 

So the question is, frankly, who's going to be on the train on December 24, 2012
and December 31, 2012?
