This list has been so quiet for the last year that I almost think no
one is trading with AB, LOL.

Question for the group. Does anyone have any indicators or systems
based on ideas from Oliver Velez that they would be willing to share?

I have never been a student of Pristine so a lot of their material is
new to me. A couple weeks ago I happened to sit in on a webinar
where Velez was pushing his new training course ($10k) for Velez
Capital Management. Some of the concepts he presented seemed
straight forward and might be of possible use to me with my lack of
decent exiting skills.

I picked up a few of his seminar DVDs from vendors on e-Bay for
$10-15 each. This stuff is vintage 2001 and is a world removed from
today's market conditions except maybe for solar stocks, LOL. As I'm
going through the seminars it looks like it might be worth my time
to code up some of the concepts from the Core, Swing, Guerrilla and
Micro seminars to see if they still have any validity. Not being a
good code writer and not wanting to reinvent the wheel I thought I
would check with the group to see if anyone has been down this road
before.

The Core stuff is similar to the way I trade my longer term portfolio
( what Velez refers to as the wealth building part ) except I lack
the sell discipline which I hope to cure with more system automation.

The next one I studied is the Guerrilla Trading Tactics DVD. The
goal with this time frame is to generate income with hit and run
tactics by trading in and out in 1-5 day periods. This looks
interesting, and easier than day trading, so I'm going to gradually write some
AB code to explore the possibilities starting with basic indicators and
explorations and slowly working up to a complete system(s). I will be sharing
this with a small investment group here in the area and I would be willing to
share it with the list as well, looking for feedback, coding
assistance, etc.

With some luck maybe some of the concepts can be applied to my
futures trading which is crying out for a reliable system to use....
