This list is dedicated to discussing the railroads that served the anthracite region of Pennsylvania. The list is also the online meeting place of the Anthracite Railroad Historical Society. Check out the society at http://arhs.railfan.net

All who share an interest in the railroads of the anthracite region are welcome to join the list. Announcements regarding shows, items for sale and new products should be confined to the railroads covered by this list. Those railroads include the Erie Lackawanna (DL&W and Erie), Reading, Lehigh Valley, Lehigh and New England, Lehigh and Hudson River, Ironton, Buffalo Creek, Delaware and Hudson, New York Ontario and Western, and Jersey Central. Also, announcements for shows should be limited to those physically located in former anthracite railroad territory where models of former anthracite road equipment will be on display or anthracite railroad railroadiana will be offered for sale. Notices for items for sale permitted only if related to Anthracite RR's. No eBay.
