Soccer Field Diagram : Who Else Want To Learn Soccer Formations

Article Description:
It's like clockwork when you have a soccer field diagram before you
and you are planning to teach the kids soccer formations and
positions. When the kids are younger, say between 4 to 6 years in
age, it is better to make them play in small sided soccer, like a 3 v
3, or a 4 v 4 without goalkeepers.

When a soccer field diagram is used to teach the kids soccer
formations and various positions, the job of planning and
execution becomes very simple. When your kids are young,
somewhere between 4 to 6 years of age, what works best is to
have them play in small sided soccer like a 3 v 3 or a 4 v 4 not
including the goalies.

As the kids grow, you can make them play a 5 v 5 with a goalie.
There are countless benefits. As a result, kids have a lot of fun,
make maximum contacts with the ball, and learn the ideas better.

At this tender age, the kids are just about learning to control and
pass the ball. You can start training them on positions and
formations also. It is a good time to designate players as forwards
and defenders. You should also ensure that they get to their
positions as much as possible.

At some point in time, the number of players will increase along
with the size of the field. Then it becomes a little tricky to create
formations. However, you must still allot the players different
positions and make sure that they are honestly working on playing
from those positions.

When you’ve chosen the formations, you must chat about it with
the players. They must be made to understand the idea behind it
and the reason that makes one particular player suitable for a
particular position that any other player. For this reason, a soccer
field diagram is very handy. Kids learn better by looking at visual
representations. Also, there are players who learn better on field
by way of observing to while performing drills or by going through
the written text.

There are some general policies and soccer tactics that should be
adhered to for every soccer position such as defenders,
midfielders, and forwards. These guidelines form the basis of a 2-
2-2 formation in a 7 v 7 game. These directives are broad but you
can modify them to suit your plans for the team.

As an example, you may decide on 3 midfielders instead of 2. You
may use your center midfielder to attack furiously on offence or
require that he marks the opponent midfielders on defense. You
may wish your wing defenders to take all throw-ins. There can be
a lot of differences.

In addition to the field diagram, it always pays to pen down your
thoughts on paper. This gives the kids an opportunity to go
through the instructions at their own pace which improves their
understanding a great deal. The parents can also glance through it
and get to know your views and goals for the team and individual
players.

Teach soccer positions with the help of field diagrams doesn't
matter what else you choose to do. This can help you save on a lot
of time and energy required to explain formations and is therefore
a great mechanism.

What are you waiting for? Move ahead and make the most of a
soccer field diagram to teach your kids several formations and
positions on field. You’ll find a wealth of information on our youth
soccer coaching community. Join today to take advantage of all the
relevant information.

How a Vehicle's Exhaust System Affects Its Power and Performance

The stock exhaust on many cars is far more restrictive than it
needs to be. Many years ago people seeking improved power and
performance learned that they could achieve both by adding a
larger, less restrictive exhaust system to their vehicle. Not
only do new exhaust systems provide increased power, they can
also generate that sound that many automotive enthusiasts like to
hear from their vehicle.

It is important to note that many of the newer cars are coming
from the factory with highly tuned exhaust systems. Therefore, on
some newer cars, an aftermarket exhaust might actually result in
a minor loss in horsepower. The main things you need to do is
learn the dimensions of your current system and compare that to
the dimensions of the aftermarket system. For example, if you
currently have a 1.5-inch system, and you want to upgrade to a
2-inch system, you will need to ask yourself if this modification
will result in added power or will it actually decrease the power
your vehicle is producing?

In the past, cars were built without a lot of consideration given
to the exhaust system. The system was simply built to fit the
car, dependent upon the amount of space available left over for
the system. This resulted in some pretty wild kinks and twists
that were made in the exhaust system. These excessive kinks,
turns, and bends resulted in the exhaust gasses running into
extra roadblocks on their way out the system.

The exhaust system is actually comprised of many individual
pieces. Most commonly, the gases will leave the cylinder head and
enter the exhaust manifold or the header (depending on which part
your vehicle is equipped). The gases will travel through a small
section of pipe, then they travel through the oxygen sensor (O2
sensor) before finding their way to the to the catalytic
converter. The catalytic converter is where the gases are
converted from harmful poisons into water and oxygen.

After the water and oxygen exits the catalytic converter, it
travels through more pipe leading to the muffler. The purpose of
the muffler is of course to muffle the sound of the exhaust as it
leaves the vehicle. Without a muffler, the vehicle would be
extremely loud, so much so that you can hear the operational
motor from more than a block away. After the muffler is another
small section of pipe leading to the rear of the car, where the
exhaust fumes are discharged.

As you can see, there are many components that come into play
when trying to modify your exhaust system. Replacing one exhaust
system component and not the others can make the process of
trying to increase power to your vehicle a futile endeavor.

Many stock exhaust systems are not "mandrel bent", but
aftermarket exhaust systems are made with a mandrel bent. Mandrel
bending is when a set of balls, called a mandrel, is inserted
into the pipe during the bending process. These balls are
positioned and pulled through the pipe so that the bends are not
deformed and maintain a close-to-perfect shape throughout the
length of the bend. OEM exhaust systems today are most often "CNC
bent", which is a process where a computer-controlled set of
motors controls the position of the tube and the rotation of one
bend in relation to another.

The main advantage of mandrel bending is that the full-length of
the tubing or pipe is the same diameter throughout, instead of
having a smaller diameter of pipe at locations where the pipe is
bent. Many have suggested that the best aftermarket exhaust
systems utilize a combination process called CNC mandrel
bending.

If you understand the concept that a cars engine is basically a
big vacuum cleaner that takes air in and pushes air out, then you
will be able to understand the importance of the exhaust system
for the overall performance of your vehicle. If you cannot get
the gases out of the engine quickly, then you cannot take in
clean fresh air quickly either. If you watch professional drag
racing on television, you will see that the cars typically only
have headers and no other exhaust. The reason for this is that
there are fewer restrictions on the gases as they exit the
engine. Of course, this is for professional race drivers and
would not be practical or legal for street-driven vehicles.

If you can, imagine what the stock Ford exhaust system looks
like. The Ford parts are probably a very narrow diameter with
many restrictions in the stock Ford mufflers, pipes and other
exhaust system components. With a little bit of imagination,
anyone could see how one might easily improve his or her Ford
vehicle's performance with a higher flowing exhaust system.

In addition to the performance value, a new system can also give
you that throaty sound that car enthusiasts yearn to hear in
their modified vehicles. You know the sound; you hear it at car
shows or when cars with aftermarket systems pass you on the road.
You hear them coming and think to yourself, well this person
means business and they really do have some extra power under
their hood.

Overall, a new exhaust system will give you a good return of
power on the amount for the amount of money spent, depending of
course on your specific vehicle. A quality exhaust system will
also compliment any future engine modifications that you intend
to make, since more power in the engine means more gases are
being pushed out of the exhaust.

If you intend on overhauling your vehicle's exhaust system, make
sure that you do it right. Given the complexity of today's
vehicle exhaust systems; cutting corners may be more expensive
than doing the job right the first time.

Stop Stressing - Building Your Support Team
Copyright (c) 2010 Larry Tobin
Habit Changer
http://www.HabitChanger.com/

One of the most difficult facts about building strong habits is
that so much of it lies directly on our shoulders. We have to
exercise the willpower to reduce the influence of stress in our
lives; we have to make the choices that will help us feel better
at the end of the day. However, many of us focus so much on this
challenge that we forget that there are other people in our lives
willing to help us, if we just let them.

There are many ways that we can allow others to help and
encourage us in our efforts. The ultimate responsibility may come
down on our shoulders, but that doesn't mean we're islands that
have to stand entirely on our own. Families, friends, and oddly
enough even entire strangers can be an amazing resource in our
efforts to de-stress our lives. Here, we focus on some of the
ways we can build a strong support group as we endeavor to kick
the stress habit.

Step 1 - Don't Be Embarrassed

There is no shame at all in asking for help with a problem.
Houses are built by large teams, cars are designed by groups, and
town councils usually have more than one member. A big enough
project will benefit from having outside help, so there's no
harm in asking for a little of it. After all, wouldn't you feel
honored and pleased if your friends came to you for your help and
advice?

As you decide who you want to ask for help, take the following
habit building step if you feel embarrassed or worried about
asking for help. Remind yourself of something you've done to
help someone else and recognize that this is no different. Affirm
that it's not a weakness to ask for help with something
important. Do this every time you need to ask for help, and in
time it will be part of the healthy habit of seeking out others'
support.

Step 2 - Start Close

Easy steps are the best way to build a new, strong habit. Having
to bend and wrack yourself to bring a new element into your life
is a surefire way to get discouraged, so it's best to start
where you feel comfortable. For the first member of your support
group, choose someone you already trust with things you need help
with. A friend you're used to talking to or a family member you
confide in regularly is a great choice because the connection
will feel natural. This will help the habit grow naturally,
instead of being forced into your life.

Step 3 - Rely on Experience

Again, there's no sense in making more work for yourself than
necessary. The goal is to reduce stress, not increase it! When
picking out your stress support team, consider asking for help
from someone who has dealt with stress themselves, or may even be
dealing with it now. Their insights will give you a fresh angle
on things, and you will both be able to share that sense of
camaraderie that comes with mutual understanding of a problem.

Step 4 - Keep it Light, and Be Flexible

Remember that your support group isn't your life-instructor.
They're friends you've chosen to help you as you deal with your
problem, not to deal with it for you. Don't feel you have to
talk to them nonstop about everything. Instead, set up a time to
talk once or twice a week. This will give you time to build up
things to talk about, so the conversations can be more varied and
dynamic, but will also be frequent enough not to leave you
hanging when needed.

As you speak to your support friends, remember to keep the
conversation flexible as well. If you need to talk to them about
things that are stressing you and worrying you, do so. Getting it
out can help matters, and let you talk through to solutions. On
the other hand, sometimes the best therapy is just a friendly
conversation about the newest movie or a great book you've both
read. Talk about what feels natural, and most relaxing for you,
instead of feeling you have to focus on talking points.

Step 5 - Help Your Team Grow

Numbers aren't everything, and bigger may not always be better,
but you want your support group to grow beyond an initial one or
two people. Different people have different experiences that you
can draw upon, and having an assortment of confidantes who can
help you out is of greater benefit than relying solely on one
person.

Consider adding a new link in your support chain each week for
the next two months. Sixty days is the upper limit of a good
habit building timeline, so by the time you've gathered these
eight helpers around you, you'll be very used to seeking out
their advice and the whole process will feel very second nature.
And once you've acquired these habits, you will have an even
stronger network of friends to form a lifelong safety net against
stress.. Good luck, and healthy habits to you.

Five Crucial Things You Must Do To Build Your Business With Social Networking

The age of social networking is more than upon us-it is becoming INGRAINED in
us. Many of us are so addicted that we can hardly get out of bed before we begin
checking to see status updates on Facebook and Twitter. Reconnecting with old
friends and staying in touch with current ones are great reasons to use social
networks-but what about using them to market your business?

The fact is, those same networks that you are using to share pictures and
reminisce about old times can be great sources of income for your business. In
addition, there are plenty of social networks out there that are made
specifically for doing just that.

Below is a list of five crucial things you must do to utilize social networking
effectively for your business:

1. Choose networks that cater to potential prospects for your business. There
are so many social networks to choose from now, it can be overwhelming to keep
up with all of them. In order to be effective, you simply have to make choices.
Choose networks that cater to your particular market. The more targeted the
network, the more interest and activity you are likely to generate.

2. Take time to create a comprehensive, well-written profile. Many people simply
assume that they will make money by filling out a profile on a social network
and adding their website address. This is highly unlikely. The benefits of a
social network come with interaction-and that can only happen when folks can get
to know you. Take the time to fill out your profile completely, with both
business and personal information (your interests, hobbies or goals) so people
can get to know you as a person and a business owner. People tend to do business
with people they feel like they know, so the more cold and impersonal your
profile, the less likely people will want to interact with you. Liven it up!
Show your personality-but do remember to behave in a friendly but businesslike
manner.

3. Interact with community members and build relationships. In order to build
traction within a community, you need to interact. This does not mean simply
messaging others with information about your business or submitting an article
once a month. You need to take the time to get to know them-find out what is
important to them, ask about their business. You want to build a quality network
of folks who know about what you do and care about you. This will encourage them
to do business with and refer you.

4. Take advantage of the extra features offered by the network. Most social
networks today provide many opportunities to help you get your message out:
banner ads, classified ads, blog platforms, article submissions, video hosting
platforms and more. Sure, some may cost a few bucks here or there, but if you
really make use of the features provided, you can quickly become a superstar on
any network!

5. Refer clients and prospects to join the network. Invite business colleagues,
clients and potential clients to join the social networks you use. Is it easier
to catch a particular fish in the ocean, or in a tiny pond? Bring all your
prospects as you meet them to your tiny pond and you can get to know them better
and interact with them on a regular, more personal basis. When it comes time for
them to buy, you'll be close by!

While these five tips represent some of the best ways to help you get more
business using social networks, they are by no means the only ones. To be
effective, you must have a plan of action and follow it consistently. Use these
tips to get started, and then continue to build the list as you become more
effective at marketing your business online utilizing social networks.
Happy networking!

How to Avoid Four Surefire Ways to Kill Your Brand
Copyright (c) 2010 Enzo F. Cesario
BrandSplat
http://www.Brandsplat.com/

There are no guarantees of success when developing a modern
brand. There is no switch that will pour out money, there are no
stunts that will automatically create attention, and there is no
how-to manual that, if assiduously followed, will assure your
brand's place in the annals of the great Internet legends.
Brands are driven as much by the customer as they are by the
originator, and the customer doesn't always want what’s being
sold.

That said there are certain behaviors and practices that are
guaranteed to kill a brand, virtually without fail. There are
always exceptions to the rule, but by and large you can at least
count on these 'do nots' as fairly ironclad rules. What follows
are four ways you can miss the point, and some advice for
avoiding them.

Misfire #1 - Number Chasing

This may feel like a complete turnaround from previous articles.
After all, we've discussed metrics and their usefulness in
measuring success, haven't we? Surely the larger an audience the
better a brand is doing.

The problem with this logic is that it confuses the goal with the
measurement. Instead of focusing on satisfying customer demands
for particular content or a certain product quality, the company
focuses on making sure web traffic stays high. This kind of
thinking disconnects you from the actual cause-and-effect of
working on the product you're pitching, and creates an
artificial reality that will do your brand no good.

As a rule of thumb for avoiding this behavior, consider the way
you set goals. If you find the goal focusing on increasing
audience numbers or some abstract figure instead of refining your
core product, it's time to re-evaluate.

Misfire #2 - Going by Rote

Part of maintaining a modern brand is providing regular content.
Updating frequently enough to maintain viewer interest is vital
for any service, and making sure the physical product is
advertised for the public's awareness is equally important if
sales are the goal.

That said, there is a problem inherent in a scheduled updating
system that can sneak into the provider's routine. Specifically
we're speaking of the tendency to update without purpose. You
see it frequently on twitter or certain blogs, where the provider
is strapped for ideas and just posts a bit of airy, fluffy filler
because 'it's time to post.' While this does meet the
customer's expectation, this can work against you, as it leaves
a bit of the 'what was the point?' question in their minds.

Instead, consider missing out a day if you genuinely don't have
content to provide. It happens, there are slow days for everyone.
Missing the routine for a day will give you time to pull up some
new content, and when the audience chimes in and sees there
isn't an update, they'll be curious and more likely to check
back the next time.

Misfire #3 - Fadding Out

The difference between a movement and a fad is that a fad sits on
the surface of things, changing very little; whereas a movement
alters the very basics of how the world functions. 'Virtual
Reality' was a fad. People hyped it up, but there was no way the
majority of people were going to shell out thousands for VR
systems and their ten-pound headsets. Twitter is a movement,
having developed a broad appeal and fundamentally changed the way
people think about spreading information.

We have spoken of the need for innovation and the ability to take
risks in brand development, and these things are still true.
However, how innovative is it to jump on board something someone
else has created? Instead of following the trends, focus on what
your brand needs and how it functions. If adding in an element
makes sense, do so without hesitation. If you have to force it,
forget it.

Misfire #4 - Losing Focus

At this point it's virtually ancient history, but there is a
lesson for modern brand development in the Video Game Crash of
the 1980s. The short of it is that every single company worth
mentioning decided video games were the future, and opened up a
video game division. They launched these efforts without any
serious dedication to the craft of game design, and some
succeeded while others failed. The most bizarre entrant was
Quaker Oats, the people that make oatmeal. The result was a
complete disaster.

What business would an oatmeal company have making games? On the
surface, any business they desired. Perhaps it was always their
secret passion, who knows? However, they lacked any serious
experience in the venture, and you probably can't find ten
people out of a thousand who remember what game or games they put
out.

Focus on your message. This ties in with the idea of fads, but
warrants its own point. If you have to stretch yourself or come
up with a new department to accommodate a new idea, it's time to
sit down and decide just how essential this idea is to your core
message.

Stretch Mark Removal FAQ: Answers To The Most Asked Stretch Marks Questions
Copyright (c) 2010 Cavyl Stewart
Natural Way of Getting Rid Of Cellulite
http://www.naturalwayofgettingridofcellulite.com/

For anyone who has acquired the annoying blemishes, stretch mark
removal is an important subject. Fortunately, for every question
on stretch marks and how to be rid of them, there's a good
answer. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions on
the topic.

Can stretch marks go away?

This is almost always the most often asked question regarding
stretch marks. The truth is that stretch marks do not simply go
away; at least not completely. What stretch marks do, however, is
fade. While you will probably always be able to see where the
marks are if you are looking hard for them, they will fade over
time and become less and less noticeable. In the cases of many
people, they become hard to see at all.

How can you naturally get rid of stretch marks?

Just as your stretch marks are unlikely to completely disappear
on their own, there are only so many things that you can do to
help them disappear, especially with natural treatments. One of
the most recommended stretch mark treatments using natural
products definitely is to use cocoa butter. A lot of times, cocoa
butter can be found inexpensively in stick form, if you look at a
few stores.

How strong of an acid chemical peel is needed to get rid of
stretch marks?

Another common question in regards to stretch mark removal has to
do with acid chemical peels, or in particular, what strength is
needed to remove stretch marks. While all stretch marks are
different and there is no one correct answer because of that,
it's generally true that deeper, more severe scars require
chemical peels of greater intensity. There are at-home chemical
peel kits, but you will probably get best results after
consulting with a dermatologist.

How can you prevent stretch marks?

A lot of people smartly focus on preventing stretch marks, rather
than worrying about what to do after they appear. In a lot of
cases, stretch marks are not something you can control, as with
growth spurts and other times. During pregnancies or other times
where they may appear, you can prevent them as much as possible
by using cocoa butter during the process, which may not always
prevent them altogether, but will help them to be less severe for
sure.

What's the best way to hide stretch marks?

One way to hide stretch marks is with good, old fashioned makeup.
If you are going to be swimming or doing a similar activity where
this isn't an option, simply try to select clothes or a swimsuit
which will obscure them as much as possible. Also, you can use
spray-on tan substances and see good results in many cases.

Is Vitamin E good for stretch marks?

Vitamin E is actually a great way to both diminish stretch marks
and to keep new ones from occurring. This is for a couple of
reasons, but the most simple way to explain it is that Vitamin E
makes your skin firmer (to resist tearing) yet also more elastic
(to help it cope with the stretching).

Does Bio Oil really work for stretch marks?

Bio Oil is often recommended to those that want to get rid of
stretch marks, but everyone wants to know whether it works before
taking the plunge. Many people have reported good results, as
long as the product is used twice daily and you follow the
instructions. Of course, less severe scars will always show the
most improvement, but that's true with any treatment!

How can you get rid of stretch marks at home?

There are a lot of good ways to do this. As mentioned earlier,
cocoa butter as well as Vitamin E are great options that can be
done at home. Some people also combine virgin olive oil, aloe
vera, and Vitamins E and A into an ointment to rub into their
skin, and they swear by the technique.

What is the best way to get rid of stretch marks?

This answer really depends on a couple of things. Mainly, it
depends on the severity of your stretch marks and how ambitious
your goals are. There's no beating laser treatment or plastic
surgery for results, but if that's not in your price range, or
your stretch marks aren't that serious, other remedies such as
stretch mark removal cream and treatments are also great.

How do you get rid of stretch marks from pregnancy?

Stretch marks from pregnancy can be treated just like any other
stretch marks. They aren't really different in any meaningful
way. The main difference is that you know that they may happen,
so you can take preventative measures with lotions and cocoa
butter to keep them from becoming worse than they need to be!

Now you have all of the basic information that you need to know
about stretch mark removal. You don't have to be self-conscious
of your stretch marks for the rest of your life! Try some of
these methods, and you may be surprised by the results.

Movie Reviews - Black and Blue

Movie Reviews this week looks at the beautiful drama Black and Blue.

It tells the story of Amber, a teen having troubles at home with her mother, a
meth addict, and her mother's boyfriend a violent drunk. We meet Amber at a
music class, where she seem oblivious to the class, amidst the troubles she is
having at home.

Soon afterwards she finds her mother unconscious from taking meth, and while her
mother is recuperating in hospital, she is sent to stay with one of her
relatives, but not before her teacher says goodbye to her with the gift of a
lovely 1930's classic guitar. It turns out the life her relative leads is no
different from the life Amber was having with her mother, and in the middle of
the night she takes her sole belonging, the 1930's guitar and runs away.

Living on the streets Amber faces some of the dangers prevalent for anyone just
made homeless, from the homeless people adamant she doesn't take any of their
sleeping spaces, to the dangers often faced by single teens on the streets,
fortunately for her she is protected from a terrible attack from some homeless
vagrants, by a couple of street musicians she saw early on in the day, one of
them notices her guitar and asks her if she can play, she says she can't and
walks away. As fate would have it she soon befriends the street singers that
helped her and their lead singer, namely Ryan played by Dennis Denicola, Teresa
the lead singer of the group, played by another beautiful singer Carolina Hoyos,
and Marco, played by Daniel Galo, Teresa notices the guitar she is carrying and
asks her to play, she mentions she doesn't really know how to play it, but
Teresa insists that this is the condition if she wants to hang around with them;
she must play, and as if on cue, she plays a beautiful melody and sings too, to
the amazement of all, and no doubt the audience too. Amber is played by the
gorgeous and very talented Christine Evans (she has one of those dreamy voices,
that is reminiscent of Alanis Morisette).

Amber befriends a local blues singer Billy, played magnificently by Zach Harmon,
who she first meets wanting to sell the 1930's classic guitar to him to raise
some money, Billy asks why on earth anybody would want to sell such a beautiful
instrument, he fixes the loose strings on the guitar and plays a lovely song,
and soon afterwards Amber asks him to teach her, which he is only too happy to
do, it turns out Amber is looking for that father figure she has missed all her
life, and Billy sees her as someone who needs guidance, which he is very happy
to give.

Black and Blue is a beautiful tale of hope when all seems lost, both for Amber
and her newly found companions. The songs and guitar melodies in Black and Blue
are what makes this movie enchanting, and Christine Evans is a very talented
singer and guitarist.

Keys to Attracting Win-Win Strategic Alliances
Copyright (c) 2010 Judy Murdoch
Highly Contagious Marketing
http://www.judymurdoch.com/workbook.htm

The most potent marketing strategy for any small business owner
is not a great website, or lots of Facebook friends, or a killer
networking plan.

The marketing strategy that will get you faster and farther than
anything else put together is developing strategic alliances with
other businesses so you can promote each others products and
services.

Strategic alliances are powerful because:

  * you are exposing each other to your networks

  * you are endorsing another business' product or service which
enhances or complements your own

And how do you find strategic partners? Well, you decide the
qualities of an ideal strategic partner for your business; you
begin to identify those businesses; and you get in touch to
suggest a partnership.

===========================
Problems with Proposing Strategic Alliance
===========================

I was inspired to write this week's article because I've
received several strategic alliance requests recently that were
really, really off-target.

And I thought it might be helpful to share with you what I
consider an effective way to propose a strategic alliance with
another business.

To illustrate effective and ineffective approaches to strategic
alliance proposals I'm going to use those heroes of doctor's
office waiting rooms: Goofus and Gallant.

If you didn't spend much time in doctor's waiting rooms during
the 60's and 70's here's a quick explanation: Goofus and
Gallant was a feature in Highlights: a children's magazine which
offered entertaining and educational information for school-aged
kids.

Goofus and Gallant was a comic with two boys--Goofus was a jerk:
inconsiderate and selfish. Gallant was, well, gallant:
considerate and polite.

===========================
Strategic Alliance Proposal: Goofus-Style
===========================

When Goofus writes to a prospective strategic ally, his is
interested in one thing and one thing only: what he, Goofus, will
gain.

It's all about Goofus.

Things Goofus does when he writes his proposal to make sure
there's no question who the proposal is all about:

  * Goofus doesn't know much about the company he's sending his
proposal except the bare minimal to make contact. He doesn't
look at the company's website, know what the company's products
and services are, or who the company services.

  * Goofus' proposal is all about his accomplishments and work
experiences. He assumes that the recipient will be able to figure
out which qualities and accomplishments are relevant and which
are not.

  * Goofus uses the shotgun approach. He gets as many prospective
business contacts as he can and mass mails the same email to
every contact. Goofus figures if he emails enough businesses, one
or two will want to work with him.

  * Goofus sees business as a zero sum game. If someone else gets
a customer, it's a customer Goofus didn't get. There can be
only one winner and Goofus wants to make sure its him.

Now, confession time, I'm guilty of sending Goofus-style
proposals. Why? Mostly because I didn't know how to write
something more effective.

Fortunately, I've learned how to write a proposal that actually
connects with prospective allies.

Read on for the Gallant-style proposal.

===========================
Strategic Alliance Proposal Gallant-style
===========================

To sum up Gallant's approach, Gallant assumes that the business
owner he's approaching first needs to be able to trust that
Gallant wants a win-win partnership before they'll take the next
step.

Here is what Gallant does to make sure his proposal clearly
communicates that he wants everyone to benefit.

  * Gallant takes the time to learn about the business he's
approaching.

He knows who the key people are in the business, he knows what
the business' products and services are, he's visited their
website and perhaps he's even read a few articles written by the
business owner.

  * From checking out the business, Gallant understands the
complementary opportunities from a strategic alliance.

  * Gallant's proposal speaks clearly and specifically to how a
joint venture will benefit his prospective strategic partner. For
example, he can give examples of why his readers will appreciate
and respond to an article written by this prospective partner.

  * Gallant uses a shotgun approach to identifying and getting in
touch with strategic partners. He has thought through what
qualities an ideal strategic partner has and knows how to find
those partners. This is why he can approach these companies in
such a personal way.

===========================
Why Companies Don't Use the Gallant-Style Approach
===========================

The biggest objection is "it takes too much time." And the
Gallant-style approach for sure takes longer than the
Goofus-style approach.

No argument from me.

But if you look at the time spent from the perspective of which
hours produce the best results in terms of attracting profitable
strategic partnerships, Gallant-proposals are a lot more
effective.

===========================
Burning Bridges versus Opening Doors
===========================

Plus, a "no" to a Goofus proposal is usually a "no and don't
come back." Goofus proposals result in slammed doors and burned
bridges.

Gallant proposals that don't result in a "yes" or a "let's
talk more" usually result in a "let's talk in six months" or
"it doesn't fit what we need but here's someone who could use
what you offer."

===========================
Bottom Line
===========================

If you approach other businesses to ask about strategic
partnership opportunities and you're not much response, you may
be sending Goofus-style proposals.

Gallant-style proposals require extra time and effort to
personalize and speak to specific win-win benefits, but every
hour you spend putting effort into a Gallant-style proposal is
easily worth the effort of sending 100 Goofus proposals.

Not to mention the doors that open when the company you're
approaching feels truly seen, heard, and appreciated.

Social Media Marketing Agencies

Experts exist for a reason. For example, there are many tasks the
average car owner can perform on their own with a little
practice; they maybe can change the oil, replace brake pads, tune
a few elements. But in many cases it's far more efficient and
effective to let an expert dig into the heart of the machine to
make it really purr.

Marketing has its own experts, for every conceivable aspect.
Entire businesses are founded on the effort to market a product
to a client, and there are people who are very, very good at what
they do. Almost as soon as there was radio, there were
commercials. Television followed suit, and advertising on the Web
has begun to follow the same trend.

Fairly new to the field of brand marketing, but establishing a
firm foothold all the same, is the social media marketing agency.
In many ways similar to the traditional marketing agency, they
still stand apart as experts in a particular field, one that is
coming to dominate the way net surfers communicate. They offer
specific advantages in their expertise that a more general agency
might not fully grasp, and are worth a look for anyone serious
about developing their brand into an online powerhouse.

A Specific Focus

There are two broad types of marketing agencies, generalists and
specialists. General agencies frequently have several departments
covering various angles, and definitely have a place in a modern
advertising campaign. However, they lack the purity of focus that
can come from a specialized approach, and may not be as committed
to the realm of ideas the latter can provide.

A social media-specific advertising agency doesn't have the
clutter of distraction a more generalized body would. They train
specifically in the tasks that gain ground for a brand through
social media, including SEO, visual presentation, and linkback
techniques. Since they focus on one specific element, there
isn't a temptation for them to 'suggest' broadening the
horizon by including a television campaign in a social-media
effort.

Engage, Engage

The modern brand relationship is no longer the example of the
producer making proclamations and staging showings. Instead it is
a conversation, an exchange back and forth between the audience
and the speaker. Comments can be left, videos and podcasts can go
viral and spread word lightning fast, and genuine up-to-date
feedback can pour in as fast as an article goes up.

A social media marketing agency will understand these needs, and
have the tools to facilitate the conversation. They know how to
pick out the groups that are likely to be interested in a
product, or the kind of article that will see more attention on
Digg. They are practiced in developing the conversations between
you and your client, and their services in this field are easy to
appreciate.

Making it Stick

The net offers a new power to people looking to make their brand
stick in people's minds that has never been consistently
available before - the power of persistence.

Previously, a commercial would come up when it came up. The
advertiser had limited control over when a commercial might air,
and the viewer had no serious way of knowing what commercials
would show when. The Internet has changed this significantly.
Websites catering to a user's interests are only seconds away at
any given time, and can be visited any time the user has a
computer and a connection.

This creates the persistence that drives a good brand. When
someone is coming to your blog day after day, week after week,
your brand becomes part of their life Social media is a great way
to make this happen, as it is easier than ever to integrate a
blog, Twitter, and Facebook into a sort of press service for your
product, be it physical or philosophical. A good social media
agency can show you how to bring these ideas together, how to
make them work in concert so that thoughts of your brand become
as automatic as reading the paper to your audience.

A Clean Fit

There is a lot of talk on the Web about 'organic' results. This
doesn't have anything to do with ethically sourced food, but
rather with making things fit together seamlessly. An organic
effort 'works' together, and doesn't seem forced or choppy.
Instead of statements that cram in the same keyword phrase
regardless of grammar, it focuses on content that fits into
existing topics, that looks genuine because it is genuine.

For example, organic promotion can include work that doesn't
mention your brand directly at all. In some cases you might
register a forum account on a discussion board that includes
topics related to your blog, and provide content of your own to
the discussions at hand. You never once mention your website, but
instead focus on joining the discussions and making friends, and
the entire time your site is linked in your signature. Eventually
someone will click it, and start talking about it.

Getting people talking is part of organic promotion as well. When
others are sending your link forward and sharing it with people
of common interest, you'll see the value of having relied on
social media. That's the real power behind it, the power to send
out the ripples that get people to notice you. It starts slowly,
but builds up irrevocably. So consider looking into an agency
that specializes in maximizing social media, as there may be a
lesson they can share that gets you the edge you need.

How to Get Great Traffic to Your Website
Copyright (c) 2010 David O Connell
Website Traffic Hit List
http://www.websitetraffic-hitlist.com/

In Internet marketing, there are essentially 2 major ways of
building traffic on a website. There are the free methods which
consume time and energy and offer a continuous stream of visitors
with little or no upkeep, and there are paid methods such as cost
per action and cost per click advertising that only offer ROI
based on how much money you are willing to trade per visitor or
per lead. Both methods can be profitable, but in general, they
can be broken up into three major categories:

SEO Traffic

Search engine optimization traffic consists of traffic that comes
to your site strictly by ranking high in the search engine
results. What is the number one way to build your rankings in the
search engines and guarantee that you will get visitors from
Google Yahoo and MSN? Keyword targeted back links. Having your
site linked by relevant websites within your niche, preferably
with a high page rank or a higher page rank than your own website
are essential in this process, but content also greatly improves
your odds of getting ranked high as well.

This method is essentially the cheapest for people who can not
pay for things like Adwords or CPA marketing. If you need
visitors but can not afford to pay a whole lot to get them, you
should really utilize SEO traffic as one of your primary
resources.

Back link Traffic

Back links are essential for search engine rankings, but they
also serve as their own source of quality traffic when utilized
appropriately. Essentially what this means is building an image
to visitors on other websites by building articles in directories
and other websites or blogs. Videos on sites such as Youtube, and
relevant and helpful posts on popular forums within your niche.
This is another great free method of traffic generation you can
utilize if you are trying to build traffic to a website, but do
not have enough money to outsource it or go with pay per click
methods.

Paid Traffic

For successful e-commerce and marketing websites that have a high
conversion rate and are profitable enough to afford it, paid
traffic is another excellent technique for building traffic to a
website. Paid traffic consists of just about any form of traffic
you can get by paying cash up front to the provider of this
traffic. This covers pay per click, pay per action such as form
fills and lead generation, and even alternative forms of paid
traffic such as pay per tweet or pay per 1000 impressions types.

Paid traffic is usually the most expensive but highest quality
traffic you can acquire. Targeted traffic converts better than
not so targeted. Someone who clicks on a relevant ad in Google is
probably going to be a hungry buyer, which is why Google often
charges top dollar for each click in a competitive niche and
screens the websites strictly for irrelevant and unwanted
content.

If you are considering PCC you should learn a bit about it before
you start.

Brake Pads Are An Essential Element of Your Car's Safety Equipment

Brake pads are an integral element of the braking system in a
car. As you use your brakes in everyday driving, you will slowly
wear down, and, eventually, need to replace the brake pads.

Disc brakes have been used on the front wheels of cars for
decades now - some models are even equipped with disc brakes on
all four wheels. You will still find some cars being made with
disc brakes at the front and drum brakes on the rear wheels. The
reason for this is that the front wheels carry the biggest
portion of the load under braking conditions, and disk brakes are
more effective.

Since the front wheels, and thereby the disc brakes, carry the
biggest portion of the load under braking conditions, it is
critical that your front brakes are operating as well as
possible. When it comes to your car's brakes, there is simply no
room for substandard or worn out parts.

Older cars that had disc brakes on the front were equipped with
what was referred to as a "squeaker bar" on the brake pad. This
piece of metal would make an extremely loud squeaking noise once
the brake pads were worn down. This was how you knew that it was
time to replace your worn-out pads. Cars today come with an
electronic sensor on the brake pad. When your brakes have worn
down, you will see a warning light on your dashboard.

When this dashboard light is illuminated, or when you start
hearing a squeak upon brake application, it is time for you to
have your brake pads replaced. If you wait to do so, you are not
only causing damage to the brake as a whole, but you are taking a
big safety risk.

If your car is equipped with a wear sensor in the brake pads, you
will want to have this sensor replaced along with the pads. The
sensor is not generally included with the new pads. If you wait
for your brake pads to wear down completely, they will begin to
damage your disc rotor - the replacement of which is costly.

When you press your brake pedal down, the pistons on your brake
caliper will push the brake pad down against the brake disc.
Ultimately, the pads pressing against the disc is what slows and
stops your car. As you can imagine, this process results in the
deterioration of your pads. This is how brake pads are supposed
to work; they are not intended to last the life of your car.

Brake pads are made from a variety of materials. You can purchase
pads made from longer-lasting materials if you wish. Those of
higher quality also help your car to stop more quickly under
heavy braking conditions. Choosing the highest quality brake
parts is a smart decision for your safety. Even if you own a
Chrysler, you can use aftermarket brakes that will outperform the
factory Chrysler parts. Chrysler parts work fine for most
drivers, but performance enthusiasts and those who want extra
stopping power, will often opt for aftermarket brake parts.

Be sure to use a great deal of care when replacing your brake
parts. If you do not feel comfortable with your own mechanical
skills, it may be best to have a professional install the new
parts for you. Working on your own brakes is not the time to test
your mechanical aptitude. If your brakes are installed
incorrectly, they may fail and cause a severe accident.

It is recommended that you have your brakes checked each time
your vehicle's oil is changed - about every 6,000 miles. This
quick inspection, paired with proper maintenance of your brake
pads, will prevent problems down the road, ensuring the safety of
you and your family.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not always necessary to change auto insurance companies to
save money on car insurance. Getting a better price elsewhere
often encourages insurance agents to offer additional discounts
to existing customers. For Oklahoma drivers, the website
http://cheapoklahomaautoinsurance.com/ can help them with the
auto insurance quotes research process. For consumers in other
states, try http://maxroo.com/updates/auto-insurance-quotes/

Understanding Uninsured Motorist And Underinsured Motorist Insurance Coverage
Copyright (c) 2010 Quinton Becker

http://maxroo.com/updates/

Uninsured Motorist (UM) and Underinsured Motorist Insurance (UIM)
are often the most under-appreciated and misunderstood forms of
insurance available to consumers.

I recall as a child, an uncle who had worked for an insurance
agency declared to my parents that Uninsured Motorist (UM) and
Underinsured Motorist (UIM) insurance coverage were a complete
waste of money. I know that we are supposed respect our elders,
but I must respectfully disagree with my uncle. Let me explain
why.

An Uninsured Motorist is defined as any driver who did not have
any insurance at all, had insurance that did not meet the
state-mandated minimum liability requirements, or whose insurance
company denied the claim to the insured motorist, and the driver
was financially unable to pay for medical expenses or damages on
their own.

According to the Insurance Research Council, the estimated number
of uninsured drivers may reach as high as 25% of the drivers on
the road today, across the United States.

Underinsured Motorist refers to a motorist, who had the state
mandated minimum liability insurance and was at fault, but their
insurance policy will not provide enough coverage to cover the
full bodily injury costs or property damages of everyone involved
in the accident.

Under the umbrella of UM and UIM insurance, you will find two
different options: Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury (UMBI) and
Uninsured Motorist Property Damage (UMPD). While it is possible
to purchase UMBI insurance separate from UMPD insurance, you will
not be able to purchase UMPD insurance without also purchasing
UMBI insurance.

UMBI insurance will pay for injuries to you or your passengers,
when there is an accident that is the other person's fault and
the person-at-fault is either uninsured or underinsured. A
hit-and-run driver is also considered to be an uninsured
motorist, as it relates to bodily injury and UMBI insurance.

UMPD insurance will pay for property damages to your vehicle,
when the party-at-fault has no insurance or not enough insurance
to cover your property damage repair or replacement expenses.

When purchasing Uninsured Motorist (UM) and Underinsured Motorist
(UIM) insurance coverage, be sure to verify whether it also
covers UMPD expenses and the level of coverage offered with the
plan. The standard uninsured motorist insurance package will vary
from company to company. So ask for specifics about the uninsured
motorist insurance package that is being offered to you.

Insurance agents, with most auto insurance companies, are
required to make a consumer sign documentation that affirms the
consumer's rejection of Uninsured Motorist Insurance Coverage.
This provides a measure of protection to the insurance company,
when the consumer realizes that his or her normal insurance
policy will not cover bodily injury or property damage, when the
fault for the accident is the result of the uninsured or
underinsured motorist.

With up to 25% of the motorists on our roads being either
uninsured or underinsured, the chances of being involved in a
collision with an uninsured or underinsured motorist is 1-in-4.

Consumer advocates suggest that the average person will be
involved in at least one traffic accident during the course of
his or her lifetime. So the day will likely come that you will be
involved in a traffic accident.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,
there were more than 6 million auto accidents on American roads
during 2009. For those of you who have not really thought about
it, that means that there was one traffic accident in the U.S.
during 2009, for every 50 residents of the United States.

Another statistic worth noting is that nearly 34,000 people were
killed in traffic accidents during 2009, in the United States.

I don't know about you, but I would prefer to do my gambling in
a casino, where I can have absolute control over how much money I
am willing to lose. I certainly don't want to gamble with my
personal finances, while I am behind the wheel of my car, by
assuming that the guy in the next car has the liability insurance
that he is required to have. With a 1-in-4 chance of coming out
on the short end of the stick in a traffic accident, personally I
think that those kinds of odds are just too high to risk saving a
few dollars by rejecting Uninsured Motorist Insurance Coverage.

As for you, that is your choice... You can choose to reject
Uninsured Motorist Insurance Coverage to save a few bucks on your
insurance premium or not...

When comparing auto insurance quotes, be certain that you are
always comparing apples-to-apples. When you understand what your
auto insurance quote covers, you can make an educated decision
about which auto insurance company is offering you the best value
for your money. You can get auto insurance quotes from several
local agents at: http://maxroo.com/updates/auto-insurance-quotes/

Natural Way of Getting Rid Of Cellulite

Any person who has seen improvement with areas affected by
cellulite knows that a lot of effective cellulite treatment
starts with choosing the right treatment method. However, this
part can be quite confusing for many, as there are a lot of
choices out there! Here is some info on five of the best
cellulite treatment options today to help you decide.

VelaShape Cellulite Treatment

VelaShape is a device that is FDA-approved and boasts the ability
to reduce cellulite problems (while firming the treated areas)
with as few as four treatments, which is impressive indeed.
VelaShape smooths and reshapes problem areas by using a
combination of infrared light energy, bipolar radio frequency,
vacuum effects and a mechanical massage feature. This treatment
is available in clinics and laser centers all over, and you can
search for one close by on their website.

Accent Laser Cellulite Treatment

Another method available through your doctor is the Accent Laser,
which is a non-invasive treatment which also uses radio frequency
to help tighten up your skin. However, the Accent Laser is the
only treatment method which uses both unipolar and bipolar radio
frequency as part of its treatment, which allows it to heat two
layers of tissue.

VelaSmooth Cellulite Treatment

Your local clinic may also offer VelaSmooth, which tackles the
problem of cellulite by using bipolar radio frequency as well as
electrical-optical synergy to increase oxygen in the skin cells
that are treated. By heating these areas thusly, effective
cellulite treatment is gained because the amount of stored energy
decreases the sizes of fat chambers in the areas that are
targeted. Smaller areas, such as your neck and arms, can be
treated, and the method is also helpful with muscle aches and
pains.

SmoothShapes Cellulite Treatment

SmoothShapes is available through many providers worldwide as a
method of effective cellulite treatment, too. SmoothShapes uses
what is referred to as Photomology technology for its
non-invasive treatments. Laser wavelengths are used in
conjunction with contoured rollers and a slight vacuum effect in
order to liquefy fat cells and make them smaller and uniform in
shape. Meanwhile, collagen is also rejuvenated in treatment
areas, and better circulation is promoted in the areas as well.

Endermologie Cellulite Treatment

Endermologie actually includes a couple of different non-invasive
treatments- Lipomassage and Liftmassage. Lipomassage is most
applicable to the problem of cellulite build-up, and entails both
the smoothing and the slimming down of fat cells. This greatly
improves the appearance of your skin by minimizing the fat cells
and also just giving you much smoother skin over your problem
areas. The cellular stimulation provided by Endermologie
technology is the secret, and you can find these treatments all
over the world, as well.

The best part of all of these effective cellulite treatment
options is that they are all non-invasive. While they will vary
in cost and availability according to your area and other
factors, they are all alike in that they are quick treatments
that won't require extensive recovery or put you at risk for a
lot of annoying side effects or other issues. Only you can decide
which of these is best for you, but they are all great treatment
methods!

Have you ever had that feeling deep in the pit of your stomach
that you just needed a place to get away for a while? Some place
right in your own back yard where you could just get away and
relax? Well, if you have a green thumb then you might be
surprised to know that you can find peace and relaxation in your
very own potting shed.

A potting shed of today does not need resemble one of yester
year. Sheds today offer a classic charming appeal that seems to
simply boggle the imagination. These little sheds look like
miniature houses complete with windows, shutters and a front
porch to set and relax upon. The shed of today invites you inside
and offers tranquility at its best. Unlike those potting sheds of
old that delivered a touch of old time charm on the outside but
made you nervous to enter for fear of spiders, snakes and other
creatures that fill us with fear, the shed of today can be a home
away from home.

A new shed for potting can only enhance the beauty and value of
your home but more important than that it can offer you a place
to plant seeds of relaxation as well as for your favorite flowers
or plants. These sheds can be provided with electricity allowing
for light to see by and the opportunity for music to carry you
away. There is no limit to what you can do with your shed. It can
be decorated to meet your expectations and offer all the comforts
of home or it can be a simple place to get lost in thought as you
plant the seeds for the future.

What really makes the whole process so enticing is the fact that
you can get a modern shed for potting in a shed kit and in less
than a day you can be potting your heart out and finding peace
and relaxation in your potting shed.

During times of economic uncertainty and staggering consumer
confidence levels, companies seek alternative measures to
increase business sustainability. Businesses incur additional
costs to cover operational expenses; however, companies
unintentionally waste their revenue on excess supplies and
inefficient policies. Sustainable businesses generate additional
revenue through targeting environmentally conscious customers,
and reducing consumption, reusing materials, and disposing of
waste responsibly.

The State of Garbage

Business sustainability counteracts the materialistic nature of
modern societies that creates an addiction to garbage and waste.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the United
States department dedicated to municipal waste (MSW) management,
businesses generate 45 percent of the total waste in the country.
According to data taken from the "State of Garbage in America"
survey in 2006, the country generates 413,014,732 tons of garbage
per year; however, only 35.5 percent (146,601,768 tons) of the
waste is recycled or reused. The remaining 64.5 percent (146,
601,768 tons) can be found in one of 1,800 landfills nationwide,
which defeats business sustainability efforts.

Waste in Relation to Business Sustainability

In order to build business sustainability one must plan and
allocate resources according to current needs. The type of waste
businesses produce depends upon the industry; however, common
categories include paper products, electronics and machinery,
hazardous waste, non-renewable energy, as well as expired
products. According to the Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory,
office workers use 10,000 sheets of paper per year; however, only
66 percent of office paper is recycled and reused. It is
pertinent to utilize recycled products within the business to
increase resource efficiency.

While recycling rates remain steady for paper products, business
sustainability struggles to control electronic waste (otherwise
known as eWaste). With the rapid development and innovation of
computers, printers, and other office machinery, businesses are
constantly replacing outdated, slow, or broken equipment. Due to
the chemical composition of the equipment, the items cannot be
placed into landfills and require special handling to correctly
dispose of the parts. Electronics are by nature nonrenewable
investments; however, there are methods by which companies can
recycle them.

Managing Business Waste

In an effort to increase business sustainability, businesses
utilize a variety of techniques, including source reduction,
recycling, composting, waste to energy incineration, and
landfills. Most businesses attempt to recycle their materials;
however, it requires internal and municipal coordination, which
adds administrative costs, and diminishes savings. Businesses can
offset the cost and improve sustainability efforts by using
recycled products within their organization, such as printer
paper.

Internal sustainability efforts are complemented by municipal
services, who compost or incinerate materials to offset the
expanding landfills. Current business sustainability efforts are
band-aids to larger problems. Source reduction prevents waste
from entering the ecosystem by reducing the number of resources
businesses utilize. Source reduction enables businesses to
increase sustainability by changing internal manufacturing and
purchasing policies.

Increasing ROI Through Source Reduction

The costs to administer aggressive source reduction campaigns are
offset by the long-term savings on operational expenses. Source
reduction is based on the principle of a zero-waste ecosystem in
which businesses use every resource that is purchased. Companies
spend billions of dollars each year on products that are not
used, expired, diminished, stolen, or liquidated. Every
manufactured good has a set shelf life, including ink cartridges,
pens, and paper. Additionally, discarding empty printer
cartridges and broken electronics creates unnecessary hazardous
waste. Cost reduction and business sustainability initiatives
counteract these issues by obtaining extended warranties for
electronics and utilizing printer cartridge refill services.

Reducing Waste in the Workplace

Cost reduction indicates most businesses spend large sums of
money to buy office supplies in bulk. It is estimated that
businesses waste one-third of these goods due to expiration or
loss, which defeats any bulk discounts one would receive from
vendors. Additionally, the supplies take up valuable warehouse
space that could otherwise be reallocated. To effectively reduce
waste, analyze company purchasing policies and contracts, noting
areas of concern. Exceptions apply to these policies, as vendor
agreements vary depending on their business sustainability
practices.

Review company financial records, inventory databases, and
purchase orders to determine the amount and rate of materials
consumption. Monitor print and copy logs to verify the average
number of pages printed per month and adjust toner and paper
orders to reflect usage. Toner cartridges provide an estimated
number of copies it can produce. When developing waste reduction
plans, inventory the warehouse and sort them based on expiration
date, using the oldest supplies first.

Implement Waste Reduction Programs

Cost reduction programs are key to increasing ROI and business
sustainability. While every employee will not "go green"
willingly, everyone is motivated by "the other" green -
revenue. Form a committee at the corporate level and develop a
sustainability plan, outlining goals and objectives of the
operation while creating deadlines for major milestones. Once a
basic plan is established, create a task force at the employee
level, appointing two executives as the project managers.

The executive committee oversees the task force and communicates
with the project managers, who work directly with business
sustainability strategists. The task force will develop a mission
statement that is aligned with corporate figures and creates a
program outline that addresses the various goals and objectives.
Task force members actively survey all of the waste generated by
the company. By highlighting the problem employees realize the
economic and environmental impact of the waste.

Through aggressive internal ad campaigns and memoranda the entire
company will become aware of these issues. Business
sustainability and cost reduction efforts increase profitability
while positioning the organization as environmentally friendly.

"The Google Gadget that Makes Selling Online a "Snap""

By Merle http://MerlesWorld.com

If one or all of the following applies to you, please
raise your hand - "I want to sell something on the Net",
"I have no technical or coding skills", or "I don't want to
be bothered with a merchant account".

Do I have your attention now? How about if I told you
that there's a quick and easy solution to your online
selling problems? Well, thanks to Google, your prayers
have been answered. Google Labs is a testing ground
for new services thought up by the geniuses who work
there. One of their latest concoctions is called "Google
Checkout Store Gadget". Its basic function allows you
to copy and paste some code onto any webpage or blog,
and become an instant merchant selling your own products.

Let's take a look at the "man behind the curtain" to
see how it all works. The very first step is to open
a Google Checkout Merchant account, which is easy to
do by going to http://checkout.google.com/signup
Fill out all of the required information, and you'll
also need to input a bank account where your hard earned
sales funds will be sent to. Google Checkout will process
all incoming orders for you. The orders will appear
under the "orders tab". On another note, make sure to
uncheck the box that says, "my company will only post
digitally signed carts", then hit the save button. Also, make
sure to write down your "Merchant ID" number as you'll
need it later on.

The next step is done using a Google Docs Spreadsheet
which will track all your inventory. Google provides
a template that can be copied which can be found here,
http://tinyurl.com/yhebl4y . Take out the "dummy" product
information and replace it with your own. There are
separate columns for each item, even for shipping
information. Each product can have its own separate
shipping charge if need be. Keep in mind when filling
it out that it can be viewed by the general public, so
don't include any private information in it.

After you've entered all your items, hit "share" in the
upper right hand corner, and publish as a "web page".
Also, check the box that says "Automatically Re-Publish
when changes are made."

Google makes it easy to set up your online store by
using http://storegadget.googlelabs.com . It takes you
through the process step-by-step, and when finished you
click on "start publishing" and select where you'd like
to embed the code, for example your website, Blogger, etc. Copy
the code and paste it where you want the gadget to appear.
There are no coding skills necessary, and anyone can do it.
Really, it's that simple.

If adding to a Blogger Blog, go under "edit layout",
add a "gadget", then click "add your own", and paste
the gadget code. Now you're selling items from your
Blog that quickly.

So what's all of this going to cost? There is a small
transaction fee charged by Google Checkout for any
monthly sales as follows:

Under 3,000.00 2.9% plus .30 per transaction
3,000.00 to 9,999.99 2.5% plus .30 per transaction
10,000 to 99,999.99 2.2% plus .30 per transaction

If you've been putting off getting up a store front
because you thought it was too difficult or technically
complicated, Google really has simplified the process.
With "store gadgets" even a child can sell online.

The Book of Kells is a beautifully illustrated work which was
hand-written around the year 800 A.D. The book has been divided
into four volumes and is a Latin copy of the four gospels of the
Bible.

You can see an excerpt of the Book of Kells in a year-round
exhibit at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Two volumes are
typically open for viewing in dim light to conserve the pages.
One volume is opened to illustrated pages and one is opened to
pages of text. Five hundred thousand visitors view the book each
year.

When my children and I visited Dublin, we made a stop to see the
Book of Kells as part of our tour of the city. We took the Dublin
Bus Tour and got off at Trinity College as well as the Dublin Zoo
and the Guinness Brewery. The bus tour allowed us to stop and
explore each site before catching another bus when we were
finished.

The Book of Kells exhibit includes interesting historical
information. We learned that scholars have debated the origin of
the Book of Kells. Monks in the monastery of Iona, off the west
coast of Scotland, and in the monastery of Kells in County Meath,
Ireland, are believed to have been the makers of the book.
However, the two monasteries were run as a single community for
many years, so the book may have been written at one or both
locations.

The pictures and patterns in the Book of Kells are more numerous
and lavish than other illuminated gospels. Quaint figures of
people and angels, monsters and animals are found throughout the
volumes to illustrate the life of Christ.

There are 680 pages in the Book of Kells. The vellum (prepared
calf-skin) pages are decorated and written on at both sides. Pens
made from reeds, quills or feathers were probably used. Ink was
made from plant juices. The book pages are 13-1/2 inches by 9 1/2
inches. It is estimated that the book took more than thirty years
to complete.

The book was stolen at one point in time and was retrieved after
a rebellion which destroyed the church at Kells. Around 1653, the
book was sent to Dublin for safekeeping. It was taken to Trinity
College a few years later. It has been on display in the Old
Library at Trinity College from the mid 19th century.

After you see the book at Trinity College, make sure you walk
upstairs through the "Long Room" of the library, which contains
over 200,000 of Trinity's oldest books. The room is an amazing
site to see. Bookshelves go from floor to the two-story high
timbered ceiling. The room is 213 feet long and 42 feet wide.

You might also want to take the student-led tour of Trinity
College while you are there. You will have an interesting look at
the college and hear about its legends. The college was founded
by Queen Elizabeth in 1592 to "civilize" Dublin. The building
of the college was seen as an attempt at British religious
colonialism and only Protestants were admitted for nearly three
centuries. Today, however, most of the students at Trinity are
Catholics. Apparently the Queen's attempt at control ultimately
did not succeed.

If you get a chance to see the Book of Kells while you are in
Dublin, make the trip to Trinity College. The intricate
calligraphy and brilliant colors in the illustrations make the
book a work of medieval art not to be missed.

How To Meet Or Exceed The Estimated MPG On Your Vehicle
Copyright (c) 2008-2010 Butch Taft
Maxroo

With gasoline at or above $4.00 per gallon, all of us are
painfully aware of the effect of fuel prices on our budgets.
Suddenly the fuel efficiency or lack thereof of a SUV, Hummer, or
large car becomes painfully evident. Even with a fuel-efficient
small car, the impact on our wallets catches almost everyone's
attention.

Most of us simply cannot run down to the local car dealer and buy
a brand new, highly fuel-efficient hybrid car. Somehow, we just
have to make the best of what we have available to us. In this
article, I am going to assume that you are just like me, and I am
going to assume you need to figure out how to get the best gas
mileage out of the vehicle you have in your driveway. So, what
can YOU do TODAY to reduce your cost of driving from here to
there and back?

Slow Down. What? S...L...O...W... D...O...W...N (Taxi Humor)

When you have to drive your car, the single thing that you can do
to most dramatically reduce the cost per mile is to SLOW DOWN. I
know that you didn't want to hear that, did you? Whether
commuting or traveling on the interstate, we all want to keep up
with the traffic, which is probably going 10 to 20 mph above the
speed limit, if traffic conditions allow it.

Many decades ago traffic jams began to back things up on the
Golden Gate Bridge and traffic engineers began exploring ideas on
how to move more cars across the bridge in less time. The answer
was to reduce the speed limit from 50+ to 40 or less. With less
distance between the cars at the slower speed, the total number
of cars per hour across the bridge went UP dramatically.

Every car consumes energy to run. For most of us this means
gasoline. The engine-transmission-rear end-power train
combination requires a certain amount of fuel per second for any
given speed. While the specific data varies for each power train
combination, a graph of speed versus miles per gallons
(http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/driveHabits.shtml) shows the
maximum miles per gallon (and the lowest fuel cost per mile)
occurs between 45 and 60 miles per hour. Above 60 the MPG drops
rapidly.

For some cars, the computer and the instrument panel can team up
to show your estimated MPG data, in real time. If you have the
information available look at it - it can help you understand how
to achieve the most fuel-efficient operation of your vehicle, in
whatever conditions you drive.

According to the DOE/EPA web site (http://www.fueleconomy.gov),
aggressive driving (high acceleration, high speed, rapid braking)
can reduce you gas mileage by as much as 33%. If you drive with
tire squealing starts, 80-mph interstate cruising speeds, and
"stand on the brakes" stops - you are paying a dear price at
the gas pump.

If you hate $4.00/gallon, eliminating these fuel inefficiencies
could give you the equivalent of $3.08/gallon gas. Does that
sound good to you? All you have to do is slow down. Now, slowing
down to 60 may feel a bit frustrating at first, but just think of
all the dollars you are saving, every time you get into your car!
What's really important to you... fast acceleration and fast
driving, or lower driving costs and more driving distance?

Minimize Drive Time

Aside from riding your bike to the grocery store, instead of the
car, you can also reduce your car's expense by carefully
planning your errands to minimize your total miles driven. Make
one Saturday errand trip rather than 3 or 4. Think ahead. Shop
once a month, instead of twice a week, or only stop at the store
on your way home from work. You would be amazed at how much fuel
you can save by reducing your need to drive.

Properly Inflate Your Tires

What else can you do? Check your tire pressure and adjust to the
recommended pressures. Soft tires consume more energy flexing and
rolling than hard tires. The Owner's Manual lists the
recommended tire pressures, and there is an information plate on
the car, usually around the driver's door, giving the same
information.

Get a tire pressure gage and check the tire pressure in each tire
when it's cold. Record the pressures and note how many PSI below
recommended pressure each tire is. Drive to a service station.
Recheck the pressure in each tire - it will probably have gone up
some from the initial cold check as rolling and friction warmed
the tire. ADD air to each tire to increase the pressure by the
number of pounds each tire was low as recorded above (even if the
new hot pressure is higher than the recommended cold pressure).

Make Your Car More Aerodynamic - Reduce Drag

Another savings idea - reduce vehicle drag as much as possible by
removing car top luggage containers, ski racks, etc. If you feel
you must use such devices, understand there is no free lunch - it
will cost you in reduced fuel economy. Also, reduce the total
vehicle weight as much as possible by removing any unnecessary
weight in your vehicle. If you put sand bags in the trunk during
the winter, to improve your traction on snow and ice, get them
out of your vehicle when the ice and snow have gone.

Good Maintenance

Keep your engine running in good order. That means regular
tune-ups, air filter changes, and proper oil viscosity selection.
Remember, every little bit helps.

Other Resources

A number of web sites offer other information. See
(http://www.fueleconomy.gov/) for U.S. Government data and for
suggestions from Consumer Reports, try:
/green-car-guide/green-car=guide.htm)

Don't Be Duped - Avoid Magic Bullets

If there are DOs, there must also be DON'Ts. We love to believe
in magic potions, silver bullets, and conspiracies. For
generations we have been bombarded with commercials and
advertisements about stuff to dump in the radiator, in the oil,
in the gas, or hang on the car, which will fix our problems and
make everything much better. Some of these things work,
sometimes. More often than not, they offer false hope and little,
if any, practical benefits.

One of the recent popular subjects is running you car on water.
Many web sites talk about hydrogen-oxygen powered engines,
hydrogen boost from water, etc. It is true that burning hydrogen
produces heat, and water is a by-product of that process. Some
automobile manufacturers are even experimenting with hydrogen
engines, fuel cell propulsion systems, etc.

However, the basic method of getting hydrogen gas, in the "water
powered car", is electrolysis of water using an electric
current. Unfortunately, the electrolysis process requires more
electrical energy to separate the hydrogen and oxygen out of the
water than you will gain by burning the gases in an engine.

Yes, it is true that some people are claiming fantastic results
using the water-powered car technology, but you may also note
that most the people making these claims are the same people that
are hoping you will spend your money with them.

They say, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".
Wait until these technologies are well proven, by reliable and
independent testing facilities, before depending on them to save
you money or reduce the operational expenses of your car.

Final Thoughts

If at the end of the month, you can increase your MPG and/or
decrease the miles you drive, you will save money.

Studies have shown that the average person can increase their
fuel mileage by at least 30%, by simply changing the way they
drive. If you can increase your fuel mileage by a mere 30%, then
you can expect to save about $23 per month on every $100 you
currently spend on gasoline for your vehicles.

If you can drive 20% fewer miles than what you drive right now,
you could expect to save another $15 on every $100 spent.

If you drive as much as my wife and I drive, you can expect to
save $46 per month, on your monthly $200 gasoline expense, just
by improving MPG by 30%. Then by cutting your driving distance by
only 20% per month, you could expect to gain another $30 savings,
bringing your overall fuel savings to $76 per month.

Every dollar counts these days.

We are not stopping at simply trying to increase our fuel
mileage. There are actually people in this world who are beating
the Estimated MPG on their vehicles, sometimes by as much as
+100%. We will be happy if we can simply beat the Estimated MPG
on our vehicles by a mere 20%. Think of it this way; every gallon
of gasoline saved is $4 earned! And I am all for increasing our
earning power!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not always necessary to change auto insurance companies to
save money on car insurance. Getting a better price elsewhere
often encourages insurance agents to offer additional discounts
to existing customers. For Oklahoma drivers, the website
http://cheapoklahomaautoinsurance.com/ can help them with the
auto insurance quotes research process. For consumers in other
states, try http://maxroo.com/updates/auto-insurance-quotes/

Unhappy relationships are nearly unavoidable. It is a very rare
occurrence for two people to both meet, fall in love, and live
happily ever after without ever having dated anyone else. The
reality is that if you are actively dating, you're going to
probably end up in an unhappy relationship eventually. For some
people, they may have to go through several bad relationships
before finding the right one.

If you are facing an unhappy relationship, then there are three
courses of action you can take:

#1 - Do Nothing

While it is never advisable to do nothing in a bad relationship,
it is an option that you can choose. Realize though that nothing
gets better on its own. If you're currently miserable, then you
will most likely remain that way until you choose one of the
other courses of action.

Why do people choose to stay in an unhappy relationship? They do
so simply because it is easier. The other two options take work
and can be painful or even scary. However, both often bring far
better outcomes than this first option.

#2 - You Could Leave

People always make excuses to stay - even in the worst
relationships. So making the decision to leave is often
accompanied by a lot of trepidation. Unhappiness, fighting,
depression, and many other factors eventually force many people
to leave their relationship. The biggest thing for you to do is
determine whether or not the relationship is worth it in terms of
being able to be repaired. If the relationship cannot be, then it
would be best for you to leave. Spending your life being
miserable is not worth making the sacrifice to stay with a bad
partner.

#3 Work Things Out

Finally, you may choose to work things out with your partner.
This requires a complete commitment from both of you in order to
make things better. Of the three courses, this is definitely the
most difficult and will require constant effort from both you and
your partner. However, for a good relationship that is simply
experiencing rough times, this is the most rewarding way to go!

Big Brake Kits Offer Extra Stopping Power for Family and Performance Cars

Customizing your car can be a fun and rewarding experience, with
tangible results as the product of your work. Hobbyists spend a
great deal of time and money on making their cars faster and
sleeker. Unfortunately, few of these enthusiasts think about
making their car safer in the process. Safety upgrades to a
performance car are often seen as boring, bland, or unworthy of
the efforts required.

From the car aficionado to the daily commuter, all drivers should
consider improving the safety of their vehicles. One of the best
safety improvements available on the market is the addition of a
big brake kit. Brakes are obviously critical in any car. But if
the horsepower in a vehicle has been amplified, and the breaks
have not been adjusted to accommodate that horsepower, it is
likely that problems will occur.

The only performance drivers who may immediately consider
upgrading their brakes are road course enthusiasts. These drivers
have known for years that the brakes that come stock on a vehicle
usually leave something to be desired. Stock brakes work fine in
most situations. But if you have ever wondered if your brakes
would stop you in time, then you too may want to consider
upgrading to a big brake kit for your vehicle.

Stock factory brakes generally have a rotor with a rather small
diameter. The upgrade provides you with a much large brake rotor,
which means that your brake pads will have more to grab onto when
you hit the pedal. Stock brakes typically come with a 2-piston
system that compresses the brake pad onto the brake rotor. Some
big brake kits will upgrade this to a 6-piston system. More
pistons mean more compression, resulting in better stopping
power.

Drag racers are probably the worst offenders when it comes to not
upgrading brakes as they add horsepower their cars. Larger brakes
will certainly not make your car go any faster. For safety's
sake, however, it is important that your car has adequate braking
power to counteract the speed that you intend to achieve. Road
racers, for this reason, may go so far as to opt for a big brake
kit that has cross-drilled rotors. These rotors have holes
drilled into them, allowing them to remain aerated and cool, even
under racing conditions.

Cross-drilled rotors are not necessary for street cars, but if
you want the best possible brake performance, they certainly do
the trick. Keep in mind that having an upgraded brake system will
even help as you drive around town. Good brakes are also
especially important in harsh weather, and not just on a
racetrack.

When you buy a big brake kit, you will want to purchase from a
high-quality manufacturer. You could get your brakes from the
maker of your car. For example, if you own a Buick, you could buy
replacement brakes from your Buick parts dealer. Buick parts will
probably not, however, offer the level of upgrade that you are
looking for. Automobile manufacturers go with parts that are
cost-effective to make and put in cars; this will not provide you
with the best brake system available.

If you are looking to customize your car or to restore an older
vehicle, it is smart to start with the brake system, so that you
do not compromise your safety when you amp your car's
performance. With larger brake systems, simply make sure that the
device clears your wheels. Again, automobile manufacturer parts
for cars are good enough for most people in most driving
situations. But if you want the added security of knowing that
you can stop in a shorter distance, then upgrading to a big brake
system is the best decision you can make.

It is not always necessary to change auto insurance companies to
save money on car insurance. Getting a better price elsewhere
often encourages insurance agents to offer additional discounts
to existing customers. For Oklahoma drivers, the website
http://cheapoklahomaautoinsurance.com/ can help them with the
auto insurance quotes research process. For consumers in other
states, try http://maxroo.com/updates/auto-insurance-quotes/

VoIP Phone Systems - The Future Is in Your Hands

Year by year, a new gadget or gizmo is introduced in telephone
technology. From mobile phones, to text messaging, to smart
phones and beyond, telephones have evolved into a brilliant means
of multi-faceted communication. VoIP phone systems (stands for
Voice over Internet Protocol) have changed the way businesses -
both large and small - communicate. Affordable, portable and easy
to use, VoIP technology is the phone of the future.

Starting a small business is a challenge in and of itself - from
office supplies and overhead, to staff salaries, to everyday
operations, there's a lot a business owner must juggle in order
to successfully manage a small business. 'Hiccups' often come
with maintaining a business; therefore, it's important to find
providers that offer VoIP phone systems strictly to smaller
companies. You deserve undivided attention from VoIP specialists
without having to compete with larger corporations. In other
words, the VoIP company you use should level the playing field
for your small business.

Owning a small business isn't easy, especially in today's
economy. Companies are folding left and right, and staying afloat
- let alone being profitable - is rather grueling. VoIP phone
systems are practical for businesses looking to cut cost wherever
possible. For a low monthly fee, you'll enjoy all the features
of a traditional land line, as well as long distance calling,
without paying extra. Enjoy call waiting, call holding,
conference calling, caller identification, call forwarding and
much more for a flat rate each month. VoIP technology makes
everyday relations affordable and easy.

Another benefit of VoIP phone systems that small businesses
appreciate is portability. Oftentimes, travel is an important
part of owning a business, and to maintain professionalism, you
need a reliable and clear means of communication when you're
away from the office. Mobile phones are advantageous but not
always dependable. With IP phones, you can plug your phone into
your computer and instantly receive/make phone calls - all you
need is a broadband connection. VoIP technology allows you to
take the office with you wherever you travel - and that is
important for small business owners trying to sustain client
relations.

When it comes to communications - whether amongst colleagues or
customers - you need a phone system that is easy to use. VoIP
technology takes the guesswork out of a business phone system.
Gone are the days of blankly staring at your office phone without
a clue as to how to operate it; VoIP phones are user-friendly and
include all sorts of business features. When looking for a
provider of VoIP phone systems, make sure the company customizes
your plan according to your business's needs.

Stop paying too much for your office phone system; instead, enjoy
all the features of a traditional land line at a fraction of the
cost. VoIP technology puts the future in your hands - literally.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve Dublim has a passion for technology, and for business
communication. He gladly recommends Voip Phone Systems
(http://www.vocalocity.com/voip-guide/voip-phone-systems/),
and prefers systems that use hosted PBX
(http://www.vocalocity.com/small-business-voip/hosted-pbx/).

Has 3D Gaming Finally Arrived?

In the future, when people write about this period in history,
they will probably have to create a minor footnote for 3D. And
the main reason being the top grossing film Avatar, which has
brought 3D back into the forefront and placed it firmly on
everyone's mind.

You have to say "back" because 3D images and movies have been
around for a long, long time. For example, not many people know
the first patent for a 3D process was made way back in the late
1890s, by William Friese-Greene, who was a pioneer in British
Films. And perhaps even more people would be surprised that the
first 3D movie with paying customers was "The Power Of Love",
which was shown in Los Angeles at the Ambassador Hotel on Sept.
27, 1922.

However, most people know 3D from the movies of the 1950s, which
is sometimes called the Golden Era of 3D films. Many will also
remember many of the 3D movies which were released in the 1980s
and the 1990s - but it wasn't until Avatar dazzled and amazed
movie goers last year that new 3D technology was once again on
everyone's mind.

While movies has received most of the attention, many observers
of popular culture believe, it is in the area of computer gaming
where this new 3D technology will have the greatest impact. This
could spell the beginning of changing "HOW" people play their
video games. Some pundits would go so far as to say we are at the
beginning stages of a major computer gaming revolution. The
fallout is still unknown, but there's no denying 3D is loudly
entering stage left and auditioning for the leading role.

Many elements are dropping into place, but perhaps this gaming
revolution really started with the release of NVIDIA's long
awaited GeForce 3D Vision Kit. This 3D kit includes 3D glasses
and powerful software which can be used to turn any computer into
a 3D system. The one missing piece of the puzzle was a 120Hz
3D-Ready display or monitor.

However, we have quickly seen the introduction of these types of
monitors from Samsung and Viewsonic. Plus, we have also seen the
introduction of 3D TVs from Samsung and Sony. And it should be
noted, Sony is going 3D in a big way in 2010. First, it has
announced it is making most of its products 3D - these include
its Vaio PCs, Blu-ray Players and PS3 gaming systems. If that
wasn't enough, it has also said it is turning the Nintendo DS
into the DS3.

Not to be outdone, Microsoft says its xBox is fully capable of
handling 3D games, although some gamers do question what the
quality of those games will be like? Regardless, we are seeing a
movement towards 3D from these major players in gaming.

It should be noted that the Nintendo DS3 won't use glasses which
should make it more feasible. Let's face it, in the past, it has
been those awkward and those somewhat foolish looking glasses
which has kept 3D from truly entering into the mainstream.

Keep in mind, there are many different kinds of 3D glasses, just
as there are many different kinds of 3D systems. However,
everyone is probably familiar with the Polarized glasses which
gives the 3D illusion by limiting the amount of light which can
reach each eye. Next we have the more advanced Shutter Glasses
which uses radio frequency or a infrared transmitter to show
different perspectives for each eye - it uses timing signals in
perfect sync to darken one eye, then the other eye. This
technique is called Alternate-Frame Sequencing and can be found
in many current 3D gaming devices.

However, we are seeing the introduction of 3D systems which
don't use glasses and this is referred to as
"Autostereoscopic" 3D. Some big electronic makers are rumored
to be pursuing this technology and if they succeed, the potential
could be endless. And not just for gaming, but for the modern
workplace and for countless other applications in the real world.

But it is in gaming and home entertainment where 3D is making the
most inroads. Gamers will embrace 3D (with or without glasses)
but only if it gives them a superior gaming experience.

Amaze them and they will come.

That seems to be the rallying cry of this new visual revolution.
Dazzle them and they will open their pocketbooks to purchase
these new 3D systems. At the recent CES in Las Vegas - viewers
and critics were not disappointed by the 3D displays. Just the
opposite, all were truly dazzled by the 3D monitors, TVs and
gaming systems.

We are even witnessing the introduction of some of the first 3D
gaming laptops with 120Hz 3D-Ready screens and 3D Vision Kits
from Nvidia and other makers. Both HP and Dell are said to have
3D gaming notebooks in the works. As mentioned before, both
PlayStation3 and Nintendo DS are going 3D, which will further
bring the 3D experience to gamers.

Plus, more and more films are debuting in the 3D format and
gathering enthusiastic audiences. It is only a matter of time
before those viewers want and demand ways to enjoy those same 3D
experiences in their living rooms. Many critics argue there is
just not enough 3D content to make customers shell out the big
bucks for these new home systems.

However, give people a superior viewing system and they will
upgrade their home theater systems, sooner rather than later. As
for gamers, jumping on the 3D bandwagon is a no-brainer since
their DNA makeup simply demands the most realistic images
possible and 3D does deliver the goods. And while the lack of 3D
content may slow down this train, it can't stop it. This new 3D
visual revolution is here to stay, for good this time.

Understanding the State-Mandated Minimum Auto Liability Insurance
Copyright (c) 2010 Quinton Becker
Maxroo
http://maxroo.com/updates/

It has been estimated that as many as 15% of all drivers on the
road in the United States do not have liability insurance for
their vehicle. Of course, that estimation does not take into
account drivers in New Hampshire and Wisconsin, who in previous
years were not required by the state government to carry
liability insurance on their personal vehicles.

Beginning June 1, 2010, drivers in Wisconsin will be required by
the state to carry liability insurance protection for their
vehicles. That will leave New Hampshire as the only state that
does not require motorists to carry automotive liability
insurance.

Yet, there were more than 6 million recorded traffic accidents in
the United States in 2009 - roughly equal to one accident for
every 50 people living and working in the United States.

According to statistics produced by the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration, there were nearly 34,000 traffic
fatalities on American roadways during 2009.

Despite these grim odds, most people who purchase auto insurance
for their personal vehicles will only purchase the state-mandated
minimum liability insurance protection, with the minimum-coverage
required by the state.

What most people do not realize is that the minimum state
requirements for liability insurance could very well fall short
of what is required to pay the medical expenses and property
damage of the other party.

Additionally, most people do not realize that if the insurance
company fails to cover all of the required medical expenses and
property damages, then the injured party can sue you for the
difference, if you were at fault.

In a state of Wyoming, the minimum state requirements for
liability insurance are 25/50/20. The first two numbers, the
25/50, referred to bodily injury liability limits, and the third
number refers to the property damage liability limit.

What this actually means to the consumer is that the state
mandated liability requirements will cover up to $25,000 per
individual injured in a traffic accident and up to $50,000 for
everyone involved in the accident, who needed medical treatment.

The third number, in the case of Wyoming's minimum state
requirements for automotive liability insurance, indicates that
the insurance company will only be liable up to $20,000 for any
property damage related to a motor vehicle accident that was the
fault of their client.

If you consider the cost of medical care in the United States
today, Wyoming's minimum liability insurance requirements for
medical coverage may not fully protect your personal finances, in
a worst-case scenario traffic accident.

Additionally, when new cars frequently cost more than $25,000 to
purchase, as is the case today, then Wyoming's minimum
requirement of $20,000 coverage for property damage could very
well fall terribly short of what is required to repair or replace
the other person's vehicle or other property.

If you were to buy the minimum auto liability insurance, as
required by the state of Wyoming, you could be leaving yourself
with inadequate liability insurance coverage and financial
protection.

Many consumer advocates recommend a minimum of 100/300 for bodily
injury protection to ensure that you will be financially
protected in the event of an auto accident. Advocates also
recommend a minimum of $50,000 for property damage, in the event
that an accident is your fault.

The smallest amount required by any state for medical liability
is 10/20/10 liability coverage, available to residents of
Florida.

The state with the highest liability insurance coverage
requirements are Wisconsin, which is just introducing mandatory
automotive liability insurance and is entering the fray with the
highest minimum liability protection in the United States at
50/100/55. Behind Wisconsin is Alaska and Maine, which both
require a minimum of 50/100/25.

The state-required minimums for automotive liability insurance
give a false impression, concerning how much risk an individual
is actually taking on, when they get behind the wheel of the car.

Liability insurance is often the smallest portion of our total
automotive insurance premium. Getting additional liability
insurance is usually pretty inexpensive. But given the high cost
of medical expenses and vehicle replacement, it may be in your
best interest to spend a few more dollars to get some additional
liability insurance protection.

While it may be possible to reduce your insurance rates by
reducing your liability coverage, it is not recommended that you
to do so. For most people, it may actually make far more sense to
increase liability coverage, rather than to reduce liability
coverage.

To see the minimum required coverage amounts of liability
insurance protection for drivers around the country, see our list
of the minimum liability requirements for all 50 states here:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
For those who are looking to save money on auto insurance, the
best advice is to get several quotes from as many insurance
carriers as possible, since automotive insurance policy pricing
can vary by as much as several hundred dollars from company to
company. Oklahoma drivers can compare auto insurance quotes at
http://cheapoklahomaautoinsurance.com/ Drivers from other states
can use http://maxroo.com/updates/auto-insurance-quotes/ to get
at least four quotes from local insurance agents. Written by

Send Fax Online - Just How Is It Done?

For those who are used to the old traditional fax machine,
sending a fax online may seem somewhat puzzling. Just how is it
done? What equipment do you need? More importantly, why should I
or my company switch over to online faxing?

All these questions are frequently asked by those considering
this new way of faxing. Perhaps the best way to answer these
questions is to fully explain what Internet fax is and how it is
done.

First, you must realize online faxing is simply bringing all your
faxing chores into the modern business workplace, one that is
directly wired to computers and the Internet. Online fax is
simply using your email system and your web connection to send
and receive all your faxes. It is as simple and as easy as
sending an email.

We won't bore you with all the technical details of exactly how
it works, but we will give you the basics of how you go about
setting up an online fax account or number. In order to use
online faxing, you have to first sign-up to an online fax service
provider who will give you your own Toll-free or Local fax
number. Some companies will let you "port" your current fax
number into their system, but you should check with the company
first to see if they do this and how much it will cost you?

Once you have signed up to a fax provider, they will usually give
you an online fax account or interface, where you can logon and
send/receive all your faxes. Or many services have a desktop
application you can download to your desktop and use this to
send/receive your faxes. Still another way is to use your current
Windows Outlook Express, as many providers have this as another
way to send your faxes. Your faxes are sent as email attachments,
usually as a Tiff or Pdf file, although there are many other
different formats you can use, so check with your service
provider first to see which ones.

What you have to understand, online faxing is a form of "cloud
computing" where your faxing services are outsourced to a
third-party. They act as your intermediary to handle all your
faxes. There are some great advantages to doing this: you don't
need an extra fax phone line and you don't need an actual fax
machine. Plus, set-up is free and very immediate, within minutes
you can have your own fax number. For a company or business just
starting up your costs will be very minimum. And these fax
services are completely scalable for businesses; so you can
easily increase or decrease your number of fax numbers without
the expense of buying extra hardware (fax machines and fax phone
lines).

Another great benefit of using online fax - it is much more
cheaper than using a fax machine. On average your monthly charges
will run around $10, but there are cheaper services out there, so
it pays to shop around. Also remember, since everything is done
online, you don't have the cost of an extra fax phone line, nor
do you have the cost of buying a fax machine. In addition, since
it is paperless faxing, you obviously don't have the costs of
papers, inks, toners or fax machine maintenance... all these
expenses do add up over time.

Some of the more popular Internet fax service providers are:
eFax®, RingCentral, MyFax, Faxage, RapidFax, Metrofax, Trustfax,
Send2Fax, Nextiva, GoFaxer, Popfax... and many more. Since this
is usually a long term business expense, you should shop around
and find the service that perfectly matches your needs.
Thankfully, many of these major providers have 30 Day Free Trials
so you can check out a service before you buy.

If your faxing is very minimum, then you can get a service for as
little as $20 a month. If your company or business relies heavily
upon faxing to bring in sales or for contacting clients, keep in
mind, most of these services are completely scalable for
businesses, so you can set up special arrangements with many of
these providers to suit your own company's faxing needs.

One last word, the reasons why online faxing have become so
popular is mainly because it is easy to do, completely mobile,
more convenient and much more cheaper than the regular fax
machine. Moreover, it brings all your faxing into the modern
world and the modern work environment. In no time at all, if
anyone should ask you: Send fax online, how is that done? You
will know the answer.

Drills for Soccer: 4 Ways To Implement A Strategy
© Copyright 2009 Expert Secret, Lda (SoccerDrillsTips.com)

What if I told you that the basis of any soccer game is its defense
and your drills for soccer should enable them to overcome the
opposing team's defense?

Some coaches tend to teach their players to play either defense or
offense. Correct soccer drills require each player to play defense
when the ball is with the opposing team and offense when the ball
is with them.

Players need to run after the ball after they’ve lost its custody. Any
player who fails to keep the ball with him should be the one to run
after it first. Since he is the closest, it’s imperative that he is able
to put a lot of pressure on the opponent who now has the ball.
Putting a lot of pressure on this player will lead him to making a
bad pass or losing the ownership of the ball.

Ensure that in soccer practice, when a player is running behind a
opponent who has the ball, the remaining players can back him up.
His entry into your goal area should be postponed as much as
possible.

Center of the soccer field is the most risky area. So make you drills
for soccer in a fashion that forces the rival team member with the
ball to progress towards the touchline. It will result in putting a
restriction on the passes he can make along with the number of
directions that he can set out to.

The dodgiest area where the majority of goals are scored is the
arc of concentration. This arc lies in the front of the goal. It begins
from the corner post of the goal right through to the corner of the
goal box and then squeezes out to the touchline. Hence, train the
players with a lot of soccer exercises so they can work the ball
outside this area as the opposition is most likely to score a goal
here.

When its about defense, success comes by balancing. Here, the
players who are next to the ball play tight. This implies that they
should be as close to the ball as possible. Players that are far
away from the ball play lose. This means they place themselves at
a position which covers all possibilities in a specific area and not
just a single player.

Your team will be in a position of control when they get the
possession of the ball. To do this, steal the ball away from your
opposition as fast as possible. A great number of coaches commit a
blunder by permitting the players to engage with the ball. This
implies to move the ball slowly without making contact with the
opponent and maneuvering the ball away from him.

If they miss the ball here, they will be back to the ground and
opponents would attack the goal.

So, make these a part of your drills for soccer so that your players
are able to play a far better defensive game. Become a member of
our youth soccer coaching community and gain knowledge, tips,

getting your site indexed and ranked with the search engines.

Not long ago, they would have said a blog might help you do that.
They likely wouldn't have recommended that a blog serve as your
main site.

Thanks to advances in content management software, however,
that's no longer the case. The line between conventional
websites and blogs has all but disappeared.

"Blogging" programs have evolved into some of the most powerful
and flexible content management systems available. One of the
leading packages, WordPress, is completely free.

WordPress For Content Management

Sites built with WordPress can easily include static pages and
sections. Technically, you will have a "blog," but it can be
made to appear virtually indistinguishable from any other site on
the Web.

For new website owners who want to manage their own sites without
learning code, content management systems like WordPress are
particularly attractive.

Rather than compromising on your available SEO options by running
your site with blog software, you are actually gaining some
unique and affordable SEO advantages and opportunities.

Effortless Structure

Content management systems allow material to be easily
categorized. Search engines love structure. Categorization
options will allow you to keep a more orderly site that will
naturally perform better with the search engine spiders.

By establishing and sticking to categories, you can effectively
group relevant material and keep up with keywords and anchor text
you're optimizing. This includes:

- URLs with anchor text. Blog software makes it easier to create
"crawlable" URLs that include your keyword phrases and anchor
text.

- Relevant internal links. By grouping material in categories,
you can make sure your internal links are relevant and doing the
best job of dispersing PageRank across your site.

(All reliable online marketing consulting professionals stress
the importance of relevant internal linking.)

Creating Fresh Content

Software like WordPress was specifically designed to handle the
frequent creation of content. By regularly updating a portion of
your site, either as a "news" section or as conventional blog
commentary, you will:

- get crawled more often by the search engines, - cultivate a
regular readership to generate "word of mouth" traffic, - more
readily attract inbound links, - and develop site "authority"
faster.

The "blogosphere" is a social environment. Studies show that
blogs trade links much more often than conventional websites.

By including a "blogroll" or list of links to relevant sites in
your sidebar, you will find that other bloggers organically
return the favor. Inbound links bring PageRank to your site and
create a greater perception of site authority.

Traffic And Links Via Comments

Commenting plays a large role in link sharing on blog sites.
Comments and trackback features further encourage interaction
among sites and increase overall visibility.

Be warned, however, that for comments to best serve your site,
you will need to engage you readers by answering their comments
and by visiting their sites and leaving comments of your own.

(Note that comments can be turned on and off throughout your site
with the WordPress system.)

Links In "Unconventional" Locations

Syndicating a site managed with blog software via RSS is a
largely automatic process. By actively managing your RSS feed,
however, you can include links and generate traffic that does not
come directly from the search engines.

Further, your site will be eligible for inclusion in blog
directories and will be crawled by blog-specific search engines
where your competition may have no presence whatsoever.

Content management software like WordPress will:

- impose structure and order on your site, - strengthen the use
of anchor text in your urls, - encourage the addition of fresh
content, - lead to organic links in the blogosphere, - increase
the frequency with which the search engines crawl your site, -
gain visibility for the site in areas your competition may
ignore, - and generate a greater sense of authority for you and
your site.

So, how can using the software to manage your site be a bad idea
in terms of SEO?

Wrapping It Up

Content management systems, when used with the basic principles
stressed by online marketing consulting professionals, are simply
another tool in an affordable SEO arsenal.

Such systems do not change the core purpose for establishing your
site, they simply provide a different means of maintenance and
improvement.

While you may spend money initially to have your site's
WordPress installation customized, overall, you will save on
dollars that would otherwise go to a webmaster. Over time, that
money can be spent on other SEO strategies.

With the ability to more easily and quickly manage your own site,
you are not at the mercy of another person's schedule. At the
same time, the native controls built into the software will give
you greater control over your efforts to gain search engine
ranking.

That's a win / win in anyone's book.

Losing Weight - Share the Health with Family-Friendly Habits

Habit Changer

Whether we know it or not, we're our kids' most important
teachers. They'll likely spend far more time with us in their
formative years than anyone else, and everything we do is an
opportunity for them to learn. Unfortunately, sometimes they
learn from our mistakes just as readily as our good example.

Kids pick up their eating habits from their parents, of course.
They get used to eating what their parents serve, and while they
don't share all tastes with their parents, there ends up being a
lot of commonality. Children pick up habits just like adults do,
through repetition and example over a period of weeks and months.
Making sure these habits are healthy is an important part of
parenthood, and fortunately we have some advice to help make this
process a little easier.

Teaching Tip #1 - Team Up

Children are generally very sociable, and often behave in a way
that seeks attention and approval from their parents.
Additionally, they're very quick to pick up on things they deem
'unfair,' particularly things they have to do that they don't
see their parents doing. Take advantage of this by teaming up
with your kids for eating healthy. Bring them into it, and show
them that it's a whole-family effort, not just something they
have to do alone or that you're doing by yourself.

For example, consider all the techniques we've discussed thus
far, such as eating with our off-hand or stopping for a sip of
water between bites. Instead of just relying on these techniques
yourself, share them with your children and help them learn to
use them as well. They will reap the same rewards you do, as they
slow their food intake and gain an appreciation of how to savor
their food.

Teaching Tip #2 - Portion Control

When children develop bad eating habits, it's usually because of
what they're being provided by the adults or authority figures
in their lives, not through any conscious decision. You can help
them with this by controlling how you feed them, and giving them
alternatives.

Don't put a full plate of food in front of your children.
Remember that we're learning how to eat until we're comfortably
full, not until the food is gone. Food keeps as leftovers, and
it's always better to save back a little instead of cramming too
much into the stomach. Instead, provide a moderate portion for
their plate, and if they're hungry after, let them ask for more.
This, coupled with the slow-eating techniques above, will help
them achieve a healthy sense of feeling full instead of
overeating.

Teaching Tip #3 - Don't Use Food as an Incentive

One of the most common teaching techniques parents try to use is
the food control method. They consider sending children to bed
without dinner for misbehaving, offer promises of dessert if the
kids finish their sprouts, and the like. The problem is, this is
exactly the opposite of teaching healthy eating habits because it
gets away from what the body needs and wants. Skipping a meal is
not going to hurt the body seriously, but it does have an effect.
Also, dessert is just going to pack on the pounds if kids are
stuffing themselves to clean their plates in hope of a sweet
treat.

Food is not meant to be a reward or a method of control. It's
nutrition, something the body needs in measured quantities to be
healthy. If children insist they aren't hungry, don't force
them to finish off their plate. Instead, focus on getting them to
eat at regular times, in healthy doses, so their bodies learn to
be hungry on a particular pattern.

Teaching Tip #4 - Go Shopping

Children have an immense capacity to learn, just like anyone. One
method of getting them involved in your healthy eating habits is
to take them food shopping with you, and to teach them all about
what you're buying.

When you buy carrots and greens, tell them a little about what
each one is good for, such as carrots for healthy eyes or
fiber-rich veggies for healthy hearts. Tell them how you're
going to prepare them, and what meal they'll be a part of. Teach
your children about how the store is laid out too, with fresh
food along the outside of the store and packaged food inside.

Teaching Tip #5 - Go Slow

Just as it is with adults, kids take time to form their habits.
It can take a while, a little more than a month usually, to get a
good solid habit put together. A good benchmark to shoot for is
42 days. This can be further broken up into six weekly goals to
reach, with appropriate rewards for good progress.

As a side project, consider how you're going to gather
information about your kids' eating habits. We've discussed the
power of food journaling, so consider adding what your family
eats as well when you mark down your own meals. A week or two of
keeping track can help you see where you need to make decisions
and changes, and make the whole process of building healthy,
family-friendly eating habits much easier.

Good luck!

Cosmetic Surgery Options To Lose Face Fat

Getting Rid of Wrinkles
http://www.gettingridofwrinkles.com/

Nobody wants to have to deal with fat on their face, and it can
be very difficult indeed to lose face fat once you have got it.
The simple fact is that while there are ways, including improved
exercise and dietary consumption, to lose weight, but there is no
guarantee that the face fat will come off right away.

You may find that, even after hitting your target weight, you
still have some chubbiness in your cheeks, neck or other areas
that bothers you. You also may have issues with not having as
strong a chin as you would like, which can lead to the appearance
of a dreaded "double chin".

Some of the best ways to lose face fat are through cosmetic
surgery, because it bypasses all of these potential issues. Here,
we will compare and contrast two of the more popular cosmetic
surgery options for addressing facial fat: facial liposuction and
buccal fat extraction.

Facial Liposuction vs Buccal Fat Extraction

First, let's talk about how each treatment method works. Facial
liposuction literally is a method of sucking fat from areas where
you have trouble, such as under the chin. A small incision and a
thin tube are used to remove the fat from the troublesome areas.
With buccal fat extraction, incisions are often used so that a
surgeon may remove some of the excess fat pads that are found in
your cheeks.

Are There Any Side Effects?

The side effects are widely different with each kind of
treatment. In the case of buccal fat extraction, you can go home
the same day and pretty much go about all of your normal
activities, although you may be groggy from anesthetics for a
couple of days. With facial liposuction, recovery can be much
more difficult, taking weeks after the process before you are
"back to normal". The procedure itself only takes about 45
minutes, however.

What Results Can You Expect

The results will typically be excellent with either procedure,
and the main difference is that buccal fat extraction tends to
target the cheeks and not the area under the chin, which is often
the targeted area with facial liposuction. Often, people undergo
both buccal fat extraction and facial liposuction.

What About Costs

In terms of cost, the two procedures are fairly similar, as well.
However, facial liposuction does tend to be a bit less expensive,
often ranging from $1,500 all the way up to $3,800. Meanwhile,
buccal fat extraction is about $2,000 at lowest rates, with a
possibility of a cost of $5,000. There may be supplementary fees,
too, such as lab fees, tests that must be undergone, and even
anesthesia costs, if they are billed separately.

You really can't find a better way to lose face fat than to
undergo one of these types of cosmetic surgery. The risks of any
setbacks are very small, and the results are absolutely
excellent. It may be more costly than other methods, but with
that cost comes the assurance that you won't have to "settle"
for less than the results you have always wanted.

Building Inroads: the Inclusive Path to Branding
Copyright (c) 2010 Enzo F. Cesario
BrandSplat
http://www.Brandsplat.com/

The traditional model of brand building has been largely dictated
by the technology available. When the means of communication was
paper, the picture advertisement dominated, and gave rise to the
clever slogan. The slogan developed into the jingle with the rise
of radio, and the advent of television allowed the creation of
the commercial.

All of these have one defining trait in common; they inform in a
non-interactive sense. You can turn away or read as you wish, but
that's the extent of your control over the content of the
advertisement. This has left the power of brand building largely
in the hands of the originators. The company creates its
advertising, and people respond to it.

Most people and businesses don't have the money to create
massive media blitzes or overarching TV-radio-print campaigns,
which left this approach almost entirely to the big names or
those small companies willing to take a chance.

This is all changing.

As we've discussed before, the landscape in branding has changed
from the advertising model to the communicative one. Comments can
be left, emails sent, blogs posted and disseminated in a matter
of hours. We've established the increasing power the audience
has over brands, and have learned how vital conversation is to
the modern brand.

Brands can now be built quickly and on a shoestring budget.
Webhosting is inexpensive, and in some cases completely free. A
Facebook account and an eBay selling account can stand in for a
webpage and a storefront, and are exponentially less expensive
than a physical store and even a simple ad in the local
newspaper.

Brand success is no longer the sole domain of those with the
money to employ creative teams and retain advertising firms, but
an open territory for any willing to seize the initiative and do
the work.

Similarly, the direction of brand construction has changed.
We've mentioned the conversation, the all-important dialog
between brand and customer, and the power customers have in
shaping the image of a brand. This has lead to the development of
the inbound marketing technique. Rather than hurling information
into the ether and hoping to find a target demographic, people
are building ways for the audience to come to them, where a
friendly chat can be had.

Consider the most important purchases you've made in the last
five years. When is the last time a car advertisement on
television spurred you to make a purchase, as opposed to the time
you went into a dealership needing a car and sought one out on
your own time? How often have your computer purchases been driven
by an ad campaign as opposed to a personal desire to upgrade or
seek one out?

This is the realm of in-bound marketing techniques. Yes, they
still resort to the need to create an attraction in the
customer's mind, but the focus is different. It's less a matter
of 'look at what we have to show you,' and much more about
'come tell me what you have to say.'

Consider the success of the SomethingAwful forums. Similar to
4chan and other casual social sites, SA has indisputably
developed a brand of its own on the Internet. Ask about SA on
just about any site, and you don't need the full name, just the
initials to get a response. And yet at the heart SA is just a
forum, a place for people to come and talk, and to read
entertaining articles lampooning various facets of pop culture.
The whole message, consciously or not, is simply, 'come on in,
and let's have a chat.'

Not every site can use the exact approach of SA of course, but
that isn't the point. The point is that if you feel confident in
your product, be it a physical item to sell or ideas you wish to
promote, then you should focus less on throwing it out to the
world at large and more on trying to find ways to get people to
come in and have a closer look.

Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Dig, Reddit, Slashdot: There are
social media networks and sites everywhere. People conveniently
arrange themselves into groups based on interests and locations,
and advertise these facts on profiles and group pages. A great
deal of the research is already done for you, all you have to do
is look for it. Put simply, these people WANT to talk about their
interests. Don't simply shout your message at them; instead,
give them a place they can come and share what they have to say,
and give them a product that relates.

Yes, digital branding requires even more hard work than big-time
traditional advertising, especially on a budget. You may not be
able to hire a bigwig designer to put out slick posters and
compose outstanding music. What you can do is tap into peoples'
desire to talk, their wish to understand and be understood, and
then give them both a place to visit and many roads to get to
that place. Build the road and the inn, and travelers will find
their way.

Stop Stressing - How to Log It and Block It

An interesting thing about the human mind is that it tends to
work largely on autopilot. Whether it is showering, driving to
work, or making breakfast, there are large parts of our daily
routines that occur without needing much conscious thought.

This is a normal, healthy behavior. If we had to stop and
consider or manually cause every single action in our lives,
we'd be slow moving creatures indeed. That said, there are times
that this tendency can give us trouble. It isn't so much a
direct problem as an indirect one of allowing stresses to build
up without really analyzing them. We go through our lives every
day with tiny stresses coming up again and again, and we don't
always take the time to consider how we can deal with them or
even where they come from, because of our automatic acceptance of
the routine.

Today, let's focus on redirecting that routine. Just as the mind
can adopt behaviors as automatic, it can be made to think about
them and break them down into meaningful pieces of information.
To that end, we're going to look at a life-building habit called
a Stress Log.

What is a Stress Log?

In short, a stress log is a record of our day and the activities
in it. The record begins when we wake up, and takes account of
everything we encounter and do throughout the day so that later
we can look at the information and make healthy decisions about
it. The first step in any process of building a habit is
knowledge, after all.

The exact form the stress log takes isn't important. It can be a
program in our Smartphone, a document on the computer, or a
physical book. What is most important is that it is something we
are comfortable using on a regular basis and can easily access.

Stress Log Step 1 - Diary Daily

The first step in building up a good Stress Logging habit is to
make sure to do it every day. When we have more information to
work with, we have a better grasp on what needs to be done. The
most consistent routine in our lives is usually the daily one,
and the one we can most immediately affect. That’s why the
saying, 'one day at a time,' rings so true.

It takes about thirty days to first establish a good solid habit,
as we've discussed. We can't get to thirty without first
getting to one. So for starters, we'll make our journal one of
daily progress.

Stress Log Step 2 - Piece by Piece

Now that we have our stress log, it's time to begin filling it
in. We can begin with the elements of our routine. Good things to
note include the time we wake up, what we make for breakfast, how
and when we went to work, schools, or about our chores, and the
like.

Nothing is too immaterial. If we notice it, it should go in the
book because our brain considered it important. We shouldn't let
this interrupt our work of course; if something is big and needs
attention, it should be dealt with, and then after it has been
handled it should be noted in the log.

This practice builds information in two ways. First, it creates a
steady log of information about our day that we can use as a
reference. This will let us look at trends, see patterns, and
understand the various elements that make up the complicated
picture of our lives. The second thing it does is help us build
the habit of observation. As we write down the things we notice,
we begin to notice more things, increasing our perception of the
world around us and the effects it has on us.

Stress Log Step 3 - Thoughts and Tidbits

As we build up the list of our activities, it is important to
note down our thoughts of those activities in the stress log
along with them. For example we could record a discussion with a
coworker, and whether it made us pleased, indifferent, or more
stressed out. We could put down whether the sandwich at lunch was
more disappointing than usual, or if getting in late to work
caused us problems getting things done.

This piece of information is critical to the process of later
analysis. In building a habit of considering and evaluating our
world and the stimuli it gives us, we need to know what effect
all this information and experience has on our lives.

Stress Log Step 4 - Study and Summary

The important thing at first is to avoid trying to change
anything right away. Changing matters at random might not help
us, and could cause more stress. Instead, we're just going to
journal honestly as we go along.

Then, at the end of each week of logging, we can evaluate our
experiences throughout the week and see if we can start
identifying the areas that cause us the most stress. This will
let us make strong choices to adapt and possibly change things,
giving us the ability to reshape our habits into the mold we
want, instead of one that happens on autopilot.
