Description

This is the Yahoo Group for the Vale of Glamorgan Railway company when it ran the Barry Island Railway until December 2008. The VGR were evicted by the VoG council and the line is now occupied by a commercial operator.

The VGR no longer has any connection with the BIR, sheds or facilities. No VGR stock is retained on site.

The VGR has now effectively relocated to the Garw Valley Railway near Bridgend. A separate yahoo group exists in support of that railway.

All stock remaining at Barry is privately owned.

Access to 20 at Barry ?
As far as I'm aware the 20 is locked away in the yard/shed and out of bounds.   The team with the loco are only at the Waterfront selling cab rides only
