The Boston Area Networking Group (BANG) is a group of business professionals from the boston area who are seeking a new job opportunity.

We meet once a month for 2 hours to get advice the job hunt (resume critique, company names, contacts, etc.) We are an upbeat crowd and want only those folks who are optimistic about moving forward (as opposed to backward).
We discuss job search, company and contact info, share tips and resources and offer each other support. We're considering getting a guest speaker each time to talk to us for 1/2 hour on various topics... (let us know your ideas for future meetings)

Our meetings are somewhat informal. The first 1/2 hour is informal networking where everyone gets to meet everyone else. Then 1 hour of small discussion groups where we break up into smaller groups for more focused advice. Each person takes 5 minutes total to give their elevator pitch and get advice from others.

There is a donation ($2-$3) to cover the cost of the coffee and snacks. Bring your resume, 1-page profile, targeted company list, business cards, or anything else that helps you get the help you need.
