Description
This discussion list is dedicated to the surviving lines formerly belonging to the B&O's Baltimore & Ohio Southwestern R.R., today the Indiana & Ohio Rail System's Midland and Greenfield Subs, the CSX Indiana Sub, and the West Jct.-Red Diamond, Ohio portion of the U.S. Rail Jackson Division (formerly the Great Miami & Socito Railway). Discussion of connecting lines (such as I&O's DT&I South Sub) or interchanging shortlines (such as the Madison Railroad) is permitted as well, as well as towns and locations served by the lines included and modeling of these lines. These lines at one time made up a major portion the B&O's western gateway, with the U.S. Rail West Jct.-Red Diamond line, the I&O Greenfield Sub, and the Midland City-Cincinnati portion of the Midland being part of the Ohio Division main (which was mostly abandoned east of Greenfield, OH. in the late 1980's) and the Indiana Sub (which continues west of Washington, IN. as the Illinois Sub to East St. Louis) being part of the St. Louis Division. This list is in no way affilated with the Indiana & Ohio Rail System, its parent company RailAmerica Inc., U.S. Rail Corp., CSX Transportation, or affiliated companies.
