Having seen bridges and the track bed disappear in Glastonbury (where I currently live) over the last few years, I would like to record the current presence of railway artifacts (bridges, tunnels, ex stations, track beds etc.) so that they can be recorded/photographed etc. before they also become history. Not only recorded as a record but hopefully of help to those holidaymaking or visiting a particular area. It is NOT my intention to use this site to intrude on the privacy of people who may have purchased and converted properties for there private use. If anyone can provide information and details of the artifact, whether accessible freely and also a grid reference this would be appreciated.

It is anticipated that most of the information provided will relate to the ex British Railways system but comments on lost rail systems in Ireland are also welcome. Any information relating to Industrial and/or narrow gauge systems will be appreciated. It is a requirement of all members that they abide by the rules of copyright.
