Resource Supervisor
Position Specifications
Primary Function:
The Resource Supervisor is responsible for managing the Winnfield District of the Louisiana Unit encompassing 264,000 acres with an annual harvest of 1,027,000 tons. Key areas include harvesting and managing wood flow to meet customer commitments, land management, monitoring environmental and SFI practices and compliance, and supervising other foresters. Prepares forecasts and budgets for the district. The position works closely with the Land Asset Management (LAM) team in identifying AVO properties and assists in coordination of the implementation of the LAM plans. Interacts with state regulatory agencies and other public and external contacts.
Education Required:
Degree in Forest Management or a related field.
Experience Required:
Five to ten years of related harvesting and land management experience.

Technical Skills Required:
Advanced knowledge of land management and forestry operations through the development and administration of silviculture, reforestation, and forest protection programs. Advanced marketing knowledge – a thorough understanding of how to manage customer and contractor relations / negotiations to extract maximum value from every acre and tree.
