Resource Supervisor
Position Specifications
Primary Function:
The Resource Supervisor is responsible for managing the Winnfield District of the Louisiana
Education Required:
Degree in Forest Management or a related field.
Experience Required:
Five to ten years of related harvesting and land management experience.
Leadership Skills Required:
Competence: accepts and receives feedback, manages individual / team behavior, manages conflict extremely well.
Character: seeks win-win solutions with customers, contractors and employees, treats everyone equally, and good to their word.
Care/Empathy: good listener, is attentive to others needs, and comfortable giving others full attention.
Courage: willing to work in ambiguity, believes in continuous improvement, and can challenge at any level comfortably.
Composure: cool under fire / pressure / in crisis, can keep emotions under control, and can manage stress.
Technical Skills Required:
Advanced knowledge of land management and forestry operations through the development and administration of silviculture, reforestation, and forest protection programs. Advanced marketing knowledge – a thorough understanding of how to manage customer and contractor relations / negotiations to extract maximum value from every acre and tree.
