Columbia Falls
Primary Functions:
Provides desktop and tier 1 network technical support and customer service to Plum Creek’s Manufacturing division that includes offices in NW Montana and
Provides tier 2 help desk support for wide range of technical and hardware issues. Coordinates the design and implementation of desktop operating systems. Prepares desktop applications for corporate deployment using industry standard packaging methods and tools. Provides ongoing maintenance for desktop operating systems and applications to ensure future compatibility and reliability.
Plans and manages all aspects of technology projects from beginning to end. Analyzes technology requirements and recommends alternatives. Analyzes technology replacement requirements and plans and schedules those replacements.
Job Requirements
Education:
High School graduate with a minimum two years of technical training in Information Technology or equivalent certification and experience is strongly preferred.
Experience:
Prefer 3+ years experience in computer service related field. Experience in current Microsoft operating systems and related technologies. Experience with all aspects of project management. Proven CRM experience.
Specific Skills:
Must have a strong customer service focus and be willing to interact with non-technical personnel on a daily basis to solve simple and complex technical issues. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows desktop operating systems and associated applications. Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment methods.
Knowledge and practical experience in managing information systems projects. Ability to quickly assess new technologies and develop business case recommendations for applying technology to organizational needs.
Communicates effectively, orally and in writing, to all levels of technical and non-technical co-workers. Skilled in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Windows desktop administration, TCP/IP, DOS, and WinBatch helpful.
Proven CRM skills.
Other Requirements:
Travel required. Must be a team player. Expect heavy workloads during project implementation. Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Salary Range : $42,100 to $55,900. May be eligible for overtime compensation.
