Primary Function:
Planning, preparation and contract administration for all aspects of
asset management. Ensure that all activities meet or exceed contract
requirements as well as operational budget targets. Work with the
team to manage production to fulfill pulpwood and log delivery
specifications and schedules as well as coordinating activities with
the land sales group and others. Ensures all activities are
compliant with pertinent regulations as well as environmental and
SFI principles. Works with public and regulatory agencies.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field.

License Required:
Current Maine Forester License or the ability to obtain.

Experience Required:
At least five years of experience in forestry including timber
harvesting, managing logging contracts and log sale agreements.

Specific Skills Required:
Ability to thrive in a team environment, with a willingness to learn
and change as situations arise. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of
asset management and forestry operations by selecting logging sites
or sections for harvesting, and/or supervising silvicultural
activities . Demonstrates thorough knowledge of resources management
by developing plans to ensure optimal value is realized from
harvesting, merchandising, and silvicultural activities.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of Northern Hardwood and Spruce/Fir
Silviculture.

Other Requirements:
Strong Communication skills. Ability to stay focused on
responsibilities, even under challenging circumstances. Ability to
work well with co-workers, contractors and agencies. Solid personal
computer skills. Effective negotiating skills. Basic understanding
of business principles.
