The focus of this railfan group is on current (e.g., CSX, Carolina Southern RR) and former (e.g., Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard) railroads of southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina. While our center of focus is on the central Carolinas coastal area, posts from elsewhere in the Carolinas and beyond are welcome. Information on train movements, historical notes and anecdotes, explorations of old rights-of-way, preservation efforts and current or projected railtrails or other railroad topics are welcome.
