Senior Manager, Channel/Alliances Marketing
The new channel marketing manager position will be responsible for all
marketing related to newScale alliances and the open source IT Service
Catalog market. This is a role that requires the ability to help
develop the channel marketing strategy, working closely with the
newScale alliances team – as well as to implement the day-to-day
responsibilities of the function. A great working relationship with the
field sales organization is essential. It also includes responsibility
for open source marketing, including assistance with evangelism, market
awareness, demand generation, and interactive marketing for this
exciting new initiative. I'm looking for 5-8+ years experience in
enterprise application software marketing – ideally with experience
in the IT management software space (e.g., Mercury, Peregrine,
BMC/Remedy), or with a general applications software background (e.g.,
Siebel, Oracle, PeopleSoft).
About newScale
newScale is a rapidly growing, privately-held enterprise software
company in the emerging IT Service Catalog and Service Portfolio
Management market. The company has more than doubled revenue and
doubled the number of customers in each of the past three years –
with over 1 million users in production worldwide at more than fifty
leading Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies (including American
Express, Charles Schwab, Chevron, Cingular Wireless, Citigroup,
Coca-Cola, FedEx, Fujitsu, Gap, IBM, Marriott, McKesson, Motorola,
Qualcomm, Target, Safeway, Shell, Siemens, Visa, and Wells Fargo). The
company is based in San Mateo and backed by top-tier investors including
NEA, Crosslink Capital, and Menlo Ventures.
As the market accelerates, we are ramping up our marketing efforts,
channel sales, and alliances program – and this role will be a key
contributor and leader in ensuring our continued success. If you have
any recommendations or people you can send my way, I would greatly
appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for your help!
