=====Job Description=====

We are seeking a technology-savvy technical writer responsible for
researching and developing a variety of user and technical documentation
including user guides and installation manuals, graphics, and other
information products to support internal and external users.

This person will join a small group of writers and must be able to
proactively find, understand, organize, and present technical
information; learn new software and tools quickly; work with a wide range
of subject matter experts; manage multiple projects and deadlines; and
thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In addition to developing documentation, this person will play a key role
in maintaining and expanding single-sourcing and content management
strategies. Hands-on experience in this area is preferred. Our content is
single-sourced for multiple products and training.

=====Job Qualifications=====

The ideal candidate will be a technically astute and an accomplished
writer. You must have experience with, and be comfortable using,
disparate operating systems (we support 15 different OSs) and be able to
learn new and complex technologies quickly. Experience with any of the
following is advantageous:

+ messaging middleware (e.g., IBM WebSphere MQ, certification preferred)
+ databases
+ distributed architecture applications
+ programming languages (C or Java, not HTML)
+ C and/or Java APIs
+ XML DTD/Schema development
+ Metadata/topic maps
+ complex (unstructured) FrameMaker-based single-sourcing using text
insets and WebWorks Publisher
