DETAILS - KEY SKILLS & LOCATIONS

The PH responsibility is primarily that of a strategic planner for the
stations programming. He /She is responsible of the taking the listeners base of
the station to the next higher level.

The PH is also the point person for all coordination that is inter-department
and for all national coordination and alliances.

While the PH is directly responsible for reporting the daily
functioningaspects of the Programming team to the Station Head / Regional Head
/National Programming Head, the daily routine management must be done thru the
teams number 2 in command - the Executive Producer.

The broad KRA's are as follows :

Taking the listener base of the station to the number 1 position with a target
of 50% of the listener base within the 1st 2 years.

ü Managing the daily Programming functioning :
ü Recruitment & necessary training of the team.
ü Designing the strategy of the station in conjunction to the National
content strategy.
ü Creating the FPC. Implementing the FPC with all possible tie up's reqd
for content sourcing..
ü Designing localized shows, promotions for the same.
ü Regularly conceiving fresh new concepts - retention and tent pole
strategy along with the designated show producers.
ü Managing the programming research needs for regular content strategy
review work closely with the content planners..
ü Aligning research findings to redesign the strategy and to draw up
quarterly / half-yearly / annual programming plans.
ü Listener projections in actual numbers and constant review to the set
target.
ü Managing the team and identifying training, growth potential for
employee / career development.
ü Constant review of the RJ's thru air-checks. Identifying their
training and retention needs and fulfilling the same.
ü Reviewing Music and music policy and all scheduling processes of the
station.
ü Work with TAR on launching new local music first!
ü Ensuring low turn over ratio with the teams.
