Another key aspect of decentralization, imho, is giving the power to make
Yahoo and DMOZ-like directories to the people of the Internet.

While DMOZ is "open" there are still exclusive and anonymous editors for
each section, and a single hierarchy. The Yahoo directory, afaik, is
maintained by Yahoo employees.

With the new HTML Directories feature of Radio UserLand we provide an open
tool for people to build directories. It's open because the format is
documented, anyone can create a directory using any tool and join it with
any other set of directories, with or without our software.

BTW, there is no reason our outlining tool can't be used by Yahoo and DMOZ
to edit their directories, in fact we hope they do.
