Programme Manager, Justice Sector Development Programme, Sierra Leone
Contract from August 2008 to 31 March 2010

The Justice Sector Development Programme (JSDP) supports the government of Sierra Leone's commitment to enabling access to affordable justice, supporting the rule of law, preventing further conflict and improving safety and security for the people of Sierra Leone, particularly the poor. The programme is funded by the Department for International Development with £25 million over five years, and managed by the British Council and consortium partners.
The current Programme Manager for JSDP is moving on after nearly three years, and we are seeking a replacement to provide leadership and management of the JSDP until the programme ends in March 2010.
You will have: extensive project and contract management experience; a track record in managing development projects; knowledge of the human rights/justice sector; and strong leadership and teamworking skills. It is desirable that you have a postgraduate qualification in law or social sciences.
