Obviously if the hardware and locations that host critical applications have been changed the plans (at least the technical procedures) will require an update before tests can be performed.
 
One thing to watch out for is the creation of single-points-of-failure, especially with networks. Another concern with the consolidation of datacenters is that the "alternate site" used for recoveries may disappear.
 
Also, development or QA environments that are used for DR in many cases may be altered or downsized to the point where they can no longer support running Production. These issues should be addressed up-front before such downsizing is implemented. It will be crucial to have sponsorship at the Executive level to support the maintenance of DR capability.
