Qualys is based in Redwood City, CA on the edge of Silicon Valley. Our Denver Tech Center office is in charge of architecting the next generation of Qualys products from the ground up based on Java technology. We are technologists at heart who love exploring and tinkering. We are looking for developers with similar mindsets who love what they do. We want to add more people who like discussing complex problems-- that eventually devolve into nerf battles for deciding idea supremacy :-).
Currently, our stack is based on:
- Tomcat
- Google Guice
- Hibernate JPA
- Terracotta
- EhCache
- DWR
- ExtJS
- Groovy
- Oracle
- SOLR, Elastic Search
- MongoDB
- Maven
- SVN ---> soon to be Git on our own GitHub instance
Required Skills:
- Java (of course!)
- Must be a great developer with a proven track record
- Must have worked on applications at scale (lots of concurrent users / lots of data)
- Database (SQL / Hibernate / JPA)
- Web Application development experience
- Good understanding of concurrency
- Good understanding of scalability and performance in web applications
Preferred Skills:
- JavaScript experience (ExtJS a huge plus)
- Messaging Queues (JMS / AMQP)
- Web Services (SOAP, REST)
