Description

Drummond Brothers built lathes in England between 1902 and 1942, when Myford took over the company under wartime conditions. Despite the age of these lathes, a surprising number of them are still in use. This list is a forum for people to share information on restoring, using, maintaining and finding parts for Drummond lathes, and also for selling or exchanging them.

Looks good Ken, also the whole restoration looks great. Well done. That's a good point you make about using the top slide in front T slot. A big plus for me

Crosslide Bridge Casting
I obtained a M type Cross slide bridge casting from Geoff Walker..I had a bit of fun marking it out and drilling and reaming it and I managed to get it to fit

Old tools gift
A local retired gent who hear'd about me restoring an old lathe..sent me a load of tools that he said he wouldn't need anymore..yesterday my Son dropped them

Ken, Nice work! By the way, out of the two examples I have measured to produce the drawing, most dimensions were within a reasonable tolerance of each other,
