1) Global responsibilities
In line with the commercial policy of the region applied in China , the Supervisor Product Manager:
¨¹ Contribute to the commercial efficiency by performing analysis and prepare recommendations in the areas of products, price and marketing actions .
¨¹ Gather information on competitors product, price, organization and sales methods.
¨¹ Carry out and manage product range in China in liaise with H/O marketing and product department .
Under the responsibility of the Marketing operations Manager, the Supervisor product Manager duty is:
Planning
¨¹ Participate in the marketing planning process: long-term and three-year plans, budget, CP monthly cycle.
¨¹ Participate in the preparation and follow-up of annual performance reports and four-month action plans. The supervisor Product Manager is to provide price, product and marketing information as input to the network performance report.
Marketing ¨CMarket
¨¹ Systematically gather information about the competition relating to products, prices, commercial¡¯s organizations and methods.
¨¹ Formulate diagnosis and recommendations allowing decision taking regarding products offer, prices, sales performance and marketing actions.
¨¹ Be in charge of monthly report .
¨¹
Product
¨¹ Propose product range adjustments and optimizations regarding the following objectives:
¡ì match with market requirements and constraints
¡ì volumes and mix
¡ì contribution
¡ì diversity management
¨¹ Prepare both the sales launch file (in case of new models and/or versions) and the marketing & product platform in coordination with the Marketing Manager
¨¹ Establish frequent diagnosis and measures on the models performance in the market(s)
Price
¨¹ Gather all information on the competition¡¯s sales margins, price strategies & processes; collect every element regarding the sales expenses policy
¨¹ Ensure frequent price scales or ladders updates (Brand and competition customer prices by segment ); formulate diagnostics and price recommendations to match volume target and sales contribution.
Volume, surveys, others
¨¹ Actively participate to the necessary benchmarking and thus take an inventory and communicate regularly on all essential information regarding the market offer.
¨¹ Take inventory and communicate the information related to regulation and legal aspects, which could have any influence on the company¡¯s activities.
¨¹ Take part to the definition of market surveys needed to understand the customers¡¯ expectations and their development..
¨¹ Assess sales operations efficiency
¨¹ Ensure linkage with the advertising standards of central marketing, monitor advertising actions relevancy in line with the country¡¯s marketing strategy .
¨¹ Assist with the preparation of Power Point presentation for network Launches, Media Launches, Dealer Council Meetings, Product Planning meetings.
Relations with other entities
His action is oriented on ¡°knowledge of the Chinese automotive market¡± and is thus in relation with:
