The topic is Estimating credit risk: How do rating agencies work. Professor Antonio Salvi from EMLYON will conduct the seminar (see attached more details).

The programme
Using a business case study and working in diverse teams, participants will analyse and value the rating of a very important company, perfectly replicating the methodology adopted by rating agencies. Quantitative and qualitative elements will be discussed and considered into the analysis. Participants will be divided into groups each of which will debrief its work and receive feedback from the professor as well as from their peers. Participants will be presented with case material prior to the seminar.

About the professor
Professor Antonio Salvi is professor in Finance at EMLYON where he holds the Caisse d¡¯Epargne Chair of Practice of Finance. He holds a Ph.D from Bocconi University (Milan). He is also a graduate of the International Teachers Program of the Stockholm School of Economics. M. Salvi is very active also in consulting activity in Western Europe especially in private equity and corporate restructuring.
