Pictured to the right is Bennett. Bennett's story.... Bennett is an 8 year old horse found down with laminitis in April 2005. He was diagnosed as foundered in all four feet. Two vets and two farriers said there was nothing that could be done to save him and that he should be euthanised.
In doing research on laminitis and founder I came across this equine-founder list where I found Keith Seeley and the BOGHS protocol. I contacted Keith in June 2005, he drove to North GA the next day. With Keith’s rehabilitation plan & frequent corrective trims, today, (six months later) he’s not only walking, but also running, bucking and just being full of himself.
Bennett and I will be forever grateful to Keith for saving his life and giving me the opportunity to be in Bennett’s life as well. I have since adopted Bennett and I look forward to many many years together.
Update from Kathy: Sunday was one of the best days of my life. I rode Benny for the first time and I’m still on cloud 9. I never dreamed or even expected to be able to ride Benny so it is a wonderful blessing! Don’t give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
