Hyperion Essbase is an OLAP analysis package owned by Hyperion Solutions.

This group provides a forum for discussing creative solutions to problems that may be encountered in implementing, enhancing and maintaining Hyperion Essbase.

The group is not moderated. The administrator expects the participants to behave like adults, and to reflect a proper respect for the product and Hyperion Solutions. This is not the forum for excessive criticism about Hyperion's products.

This group is not meant to take the place of Hyperion support, consultants, and user groups. Please fully utilize these resources.

Despite differences in versions and methods of implementation, I think we can help each other out in solving some of the challenges that we each face, and hopefully help us all to benefit from networking.

A lot of very talented consultants are also monitoring and responding to posts on this newsgroup. Quite often they give excellent replies that aid administrators in solving problems. If the opportunity presents itself, please consider using their services on a paid basis if your company requires assistance.

It is OK for vendors and consultants to describe their products and services, and to educate the users on how such products may meet their needs. However, solicitation should not be excessive, and products should be related to Essbase.

The membership list cannot be viewed by users, only by administration, for your security.

Memberships are screened, and you must provide enough information in the membership request in order to help me to see that you have a legitimate reason for being on the group. This information is necessary to avoid spamming. Describe your background with the products in the membership request. Failure to do this will result in denial.
