The track log is 10 thousand points.
You can also copy track logs to the "saved" logs but it drasticaly strips
down the data points and removes the time information when you do that. I
don't do that, so I can't tell you how many points it holds in each.
My suggestion is to try a couple hour hike with your test settings and see
how big of a log it creates.
Take a look at how it handles turns and altitude changes (if that is
important to you).
If you will have a computer (even a hotel computer) available, check out
easy GPS at www.easygps.com/ .
You can install it once on a USB memory device and use it on any computer
that has a serial port for your gps.
Unfortunately, I think that all of the USB to serial devices need a driver
that cannot be installed on a locked computer like at a hotel of library.
