It's a pleasure to announce that Todd Zaki Warfel's book, Prototyping:  A Practitioner's Guide, is now available for purchase.  In just under 200 pages, Todd provides a hugely practical take on a hugely practical topic, and shows you how to prototype using approaches both low-tech (e.g., paper) and high-tech (Axure and Fireworks).  So please:
Prototyping is available in two packages:  a full color paperback plus a screen-optimized DRM-free PDF, and a digital package (two DRM-free PDFs:  one screen-optimized, and one for printing yourself).  An EPUB version is on the way as well.

Thanks for considering it, and thanks especially for spreading the word.

Based in San Francisco, CA, our client is a privately held developer of

They are overhauling their website as they are changing the business to 100%

project over the next 4 weeks with a go live date of Nov. 20th. They are small
company on a tight budget and timeline; however, we have a tremendous base of
content and assets existing already.

They have a small internal staff: a web/graphic designer and a part-time web

1. UI/UX – ideally someone with experience creating a sales funnel for direct
consumer product sales
2. Web development and front-end coding
3. Ecommerce and shopping cart experience

Ideally they'd like to find one consultant to handle all 3 of the above tasks,
but they would settle for a UI/UX Designer and a separate e-commerce shopping

(apologies for cross posting)

Hi all; I'd like to spread the word about two new Ning-based community sites that Rosenfeld Media authors recently started:
  • Design for Care (http://designforcare.ning.com/) compiles methods, results, case studies, and research from many healthcare contexts to help designers understand and improve healthcare products and services.  If you're interested in the intersection of healthcare and user experience, please participate in this 100+ member community.  Peter Jones, the community's facilitator, is writing our forthcoming book Designing for Care (http://www.rosenfeldmedia.com/books/health-care/)
  • Agile Experience Design (http://www.agileexperiencedesign.org/) is enabling over 200 participants to work through the challenges of squaring contemporary design practices with agile and other iterative approaches to design and development.  Anders Ramsay, who has just begun work on his book Agile Experience Design (http://www.rosenfeldmedia.com/books/agile-experience/), is the community's facilitator.
We hope you'll join and help these communities grow, thrive, and solve some of the trickiest problems that designers face these days.  Thanks for your participation and for spreading the word.

cheers
