Action Alert from Global Trade Watch
Last June, a new bill called the Trade Reform, Accountability, Development and Expansion Act (TRADE) Act was introduced in Congress by fair trade champions Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Rep. Mike Michaud (D-Maine). The TRADE Act is set to be reintroduced very soon for 2009 - likely next week. This landmark legislation sets forth in concrete, detailed terms a progressive vision for good trade agreements in the future. It's finally a trade bill that activists can support!
