Thanks all for the help, my G540 does have the fuse it is out and I have a new one in place but haven't tested yet. Didn't realise the eyelets behind the fuse

Thanks Jeff - I'm presently using ACME 10 TPI-single start lead screws all around. The X axis is a dual lead screw, with a stepper attached to each.

As neither configuration is perfect I would probably use the Bipolar parallel configuration with a 3.5K current programming resistor. In parallel you'll have

Hi Jed, I just checked some of the motherboards in my G540s. The early one don't have fuse. The lasted revision does though. to remove it do the following. 1.
