Wow Everyone, Christmas, Yule, and Hannukah are right around the
corner--especially Hannukah which seems to fall early this year.
We've actually already started shopping. Have you?
I have been on a creating frenzy, so be sure to check out the shop!
Things are going up on ETSY first because they're selling there, so
be sure to check that out as your first stop for new items. Usually
stuff doesn't go up on eCrater for a few days, but it does go up.
For all of you who have handed out a business card or shared my link,
thank you thank you THANK YOU!

In the last week I spent way more money on new metal and stones
than I really want to tell my husband, so please, if you need jewelry
for gifts NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY! My latest thing are the Simple
Swirl earrings. They come in two different gauges and three
different sizes in copper and silver and soon to be gold-filled.
Prices range from $1.99 for small copper earrings to $16.99 for the
largest gold-filled. The really cool thing is that all the dangles
are sold separately. Each one fits all the wires and all of the
wires can be worn alone, so even if you buy one set of earrings and
one set of "baubles" you have two different looks already! Almost
all of the charms can be made in any metal except for those awesome
rose caps. We can probably come up with something similar though...
The gold-filled wire is slated to arrive on Thursday, so those
wires aren't even made yet. Pre-order and be the first to get them!
Just send me an email to make arrangements.
For those of you unfamiliar with the technical jewelry-speak, there
are several kinds of gold finish you can get. The most expensive is
solid gold--the wire/metal is all gold throughout. It's also very
soft. Gold plating refers to a microscopic layer of gold
more-or-less painted onto a base metal, and this is the super cheap
stuff that probably has turned your skin green as the gold wore off
the second time you wore it. Gold vermeil is a step up. The layer
of gold is very thin but it's electroplated onto sterling silver
(usually) so it holds better and you're getting a better base
material. Gold FILLED is actual karat gold bonded onto a base metal
in a relatively thick layer that lasts through many years of wear.
The gold filled wire I'm getting is 14k yellow gold over brass.
Gold-filled offers me the chance to keep yellow gold in stock and you
the chance to purchase a high quality gold product without breaking
the bank. There's a little Wikipedia blurb on it here for more info:

Speaking of metal, if anyone is ever interested I can get an array
of metal wire to work with including niobium, solid rose gold, white
gold, and yellow gold (yellow up to 22k), and platinum. Prices for
gold are expensive and platinum is just silly, so all of those orders
have to be prepaid and are non-refundable. Right now platinum runs
100x the cost of silver. A pair of the Simple Swirl Earwires in
platinum would run you between $150 and $200 depending on which ones
you wanted, but I can certainly do it for you. Can't wait to get all
those orders for platinum! ;)
So go check out the new stock!
Many Blessings,
Jenny
