Happy New Year!

Dear All,
For those of you who got caught up in the holiday craziness, thank
you for your patience. The last waiting order went out on Tuesday
and that was sent Priority, so it should arrive by tomorrow at the
latest. If you ordered something before Christmas and haven't
received it please notify me right away.

For anyone who may have ordered through ETSY, please don't forget to
leave feedback! It works a lot like eBay. My feedback rating tells
other potential customers what they can expect from me and my
merchandise.

As of today there are four new items available in the store: 2
necklaces and two necklace and earring sets. I'll attach pictures
for you. It's been so long since I really did anything but earrings
that I've had a lot of fun creating these pieces, and I think it
shows!

The first is the coolest, if I do say so myself. A while back I
bought some really beautiful BIG faceted gemstones, but I discovered
that they really weren't quite big enough to wrap, and I don't really
so any metalsmithing. So, they've been laying around, either unused
or unpurchased. More recently I discovered the beauty of brass, and
now have a way to set these stones. It makes very vintage looking
pieces, which isn't exactly my style, but I very much like the
results! What you see is a HUGE, ~9 carat real rose quartz wrapped
in a brass setting. It positively glows when the light hits it
directly, and it's so clear that you can see the brass through it at
an angle. It is pale, but it's quite lovely.

Second is a lampwork glass bead I had to have but didn't know what to
use it for. I ordered some different colored brown/tan glass beads
for something else entirely, and an idea was born. Labradorite and
amethyst are two of my favorite stones to work with--it's a rare
treat to get to use both at the same time.

Third is an old favorite, reborn. I fell in love with petrified wood
beads when I first began making jewelry, and sadly my supplier has
stopped supplying. That doesn't mean I can keep these forever
though! This necklace and earring set is made from my dwindling
stash of 8mm petrified wood beads and richly colored little garnets.

Last, but not least, is my first foray into really working with gold.
I created the chain entirely by hand, and it shows off the rich and
creamy African Opal to its absolute best! It comes with matching
earrings. Yes, I can make it in silver or copper if you'd rather.

In other news, I'm planning on having a real live pre-Mother's Day
jewelry show and party in my home on April 13. It's "open house"
style, and I'll serve light refreshments and have all of my creations
on display for in-person browsing, purchasing, and special ordering.
That's a Sunday, and I'm thinking 4-7pm. Don't worry about an RSVP
at this point, I'll send out the official invites in March.

Blessings,
Jenny
